Buddy movie taken to extremes. New York firefighters Chuck Levine
(Adam Sandler) and Larry Valentine (Kevin James) live different
lives. Whilst Chuck is a self-confessed lothario out for a good
time, Larry is a widower struggling to keep a regular home life for
the sake of his two young children. With Larry refusing to take up
life as a single parent and deal with his loss, he forgets to
change the primary beneficiary of his pension from his wife to his
children before the cut-off date, which would financially protect
them in the event of a work injury. The only solution is to get
married again, but Larry decides there's no other woman he could
trust enough with his children's future. During a routine search of
a burning house, Larry saves Chuck's life in an accident and Chuck
is forever indebted to his best mate as they awake in hospital.
Evaluating his predicament whilst in his sick bed, Larry finds an
article about a same-sex domestic partnership and realises Chuck
could pay his debt quicker than anticipated! After wearing Chuck
down, they eventually get hitched in a bizarre Las Vegas wedding
chapel and just when they settle in to a scene of same-sex domestic
bliss for the sake of the kids, they soon realise that their gay
union is going to be under serious scrutiny from surprise inspector
Clinton Fitzer (Steve Buscemi), who is always ready to catch out
straight guys cheating the system.

Adam Sandler writes, directs and stars in this comedy centred on
the reunion of five former school friends. 30 years after
graduating from high school, five former basketball teammates -
Lenny (Sandler), Eric (Kevin James), Kurt (Chris Rock), Marcus
(David Spade) and Rob (Rob Schneider) - gather for the funeral of
their late coach over the Fourth of July holiday weekend at the
same lakeside house where they celebrated a championship victory
many years before. As the weekend goes on, the friends come to
realise that just because they have all grown older doesn't
necessarily mean that they have to grow up.
Goofball comedy, that generated some controversy on its initial
release, starring Adam Sandler as Zohan Dvir, an Israeli Special
Forces soldier who fakes his own death so he can reinvent himself
as a hairdresser in New York. He throws himself into his new
identity with admirable gusto, romancing his clients by performing
'special services' in the back room - but is eventually recognised
and must face losing his newfound life and career. Emmanuelle
Chriqui and John Turturro co-star.

The trials and tribulations of family life, as seen through the
eyes of three generations. Gil Buckman (Steve Martin) is a father
rather too determined to give his kids the love and care which had
been withheld from him as a child. Meanwhile, his Yuppie
brother-in-law Nathan (Rick Moranis) is preparing his 3-year-old
daughter for life in the fast lane by an accelerated learning
programme which causes her to miss out on the more basic joys of
childhood. Gil's sister Helen (Dianne Wiest), a single parent,
struggles to control her uncommunicative son and wild daughter,
while black sheep of the family Larry (Tom Hulce) returns to sponge
off his father Frank (Jason Robards) in order to pay off gambling
debts.
