Just as Jesus spoke to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, so too will He speak personally to the reader as he or she "walks" with Him. In Walk With Me, Jesus says, "Let me take you to that moment when I will enter your heart." To walk with Jesus, to be with Him, to listen to Him, to hear Him, makes it possible to become more like Him so that little by little our hearts and minds reflect Jesus. "I want to let you know who you are to Me and to My Father. And to tell you that We need you. To you, beloved one, God gives His life and calls you into His very life. Come and see how our life together grows from simply being together each day." God has His perfect plan for each of us; each of us is completely in His mind, and His will for each is perfect. The "way" of Jesus is the holy way, the wonder-filled way, the way that bears much fruit in our life and in the world. "I am the Friend who, through our friendship, will bring you further into eternal life." It is the life He alone brings and nourishes. Give Him that moment to be with Him, to listen to Him, to hear Him, to let Him touch your life, and to let Him lead you. (233 words)
"Happiness. What is it? Why is it so central to man's being? Why is its pursuit central to man's activity on earth? Does God have anything to say about happiness? Does God have anything to do with man's happiness? Can we bring about our own happiness? Can we destroy our own happiness? Would anyone deliberately set out to be unhappy? Would unhappiness ever be our goal in life?" So begins Happiness Is by Dennis E. Coates, author of Walk with Me. Dennis contends that happiness is of the very nature of human life, that happiness is its purpose, and that happiness is meant to be permanent in life, both now and in the hereafter. Furthermore, Dennis contends that happiness has its origin in God Himself who made us in His image. This has importance in the very meaning of happiness and how we obtain it. Look into Happiness Is-it may change your life.
"Most of the money invested in learning and development is wasted. This is what I call the 'dark secret of HRD.' Organizations that invest in training aren't getting what they paid for. Not even close. The reason is that knowing what to do isn't at all the same thing as doing it. In the long run, what people learn about in training usually isn't applied in the workplace. This failure to translate classroom instruction to workplace performance has been on the street for a long time, but for various reasons the message hasn't reached top management." In this brief, straightforward book, Dr. Coates reveals why this failure happens. The truth lies in why people do what they do in the workplace and what it takes to rewire their brains. This dose of reality points toward a practical solution.

Ed was shaken to the core by the near death of his daughter, Amy. To this point, Ed had never seriously thought about life or its meaning. Now he needed to know the truth about life. He told Shelley, his wife, "I need to find the truth about life and not just anyone's theory about it. I need something that is true and will not mislead me, something I can count on. That's what I'm looking for." But where and how to find it, if indeed it existed? Ed's search would lead him to the pastor of a nearby church, Father Ben, who gave Ed a special book he thought could explain life and open a whole new future for Ed and Shelley. Through the book and ongoing meetings with Father Ben, Ed and Shelley began a new life, one they could never have imagined, one Jesus described when He said, "I have come that they may have life and have it to the full (John 10:10)."
