This five-views work brings together an all-star lineup of Pauline
scholars to offer a constructive, interdenominational, up-to-date
conversation on key issues of Pauline theology. The editors begin
with an informative recent history of biblical tradition related to
the perspectives on Paul. John M. G. Barclay, A. Andrew Das, James
D. G. Dunn, Brant Pitre, and Magnus Zetterholm then discuss how to
interpret Paul's writings and theology, especially the apostle's
view of salvation. The book concludes with an assessment of the
perspectives from a pastoral point of view by Dennis Edwards.

florist are a refuge from a complicated adolescence. With her mum
in prison, Angelique faces bullying, abuse and growing up in the

IVP Readers' Choice Award Stop outsourcing justice! Many local
churches don't know what to do about justice. We tend to
compartmentalize it as merely a strategy for outreach, and we often
outsource it to parachurch justice ministries. While these
organizations do good work, individual congregations are left
disconnected from God's just purposes in the world. Adam Gustine
calls the local church to be just and do justice. He provides a
theological vision for our identity as a just people, where God's
character and the pursuit of shalom infuses every aspect of our
congregational DNA. As we grow in becoming just, the church becomes
a prophetic alternative to the broken systems of the world and a
parable of God's intentions for human flourishing and societal
transformation. This renewed vision for the church leads us into
cultivating a just life together-in community, discipleship,
worship, and more-extending justice out into the world in concrete
ways. Let's hold being and doing together, so we can become just,
compassionate communities that restore shalom and bring hope to the
world.

20 Fascinating short stories about characters who stepped out of
their lifeboxes and imagined what they could achieve if they let
themselves dream. Just a few of the stories are: A salesman has a
plan to emancipate our minds from fear of failure A coach's wife
shows her husband how to win the championship game A hair stylist
warns how it's possible to lose our free will A teenage boy hopes
to exchange his baseball for a Marriott Hotel A nun advises Pope
Francis about a new way to help the poor A builder dreams of
constructing a model home for Heaven An educator calls on Hollywood
to revolutionize learning The purpose of these stories is to
entertain, and also to show how people responded when they were
asked what they would do if they could be God. This unique
viewpoint gave the characters in these stories enormous power and
permission to change or do anything they wanted. Imagine if you had
that power. What would you do? Playing God is your license to
address the problems in your life, no matter how difficult they
seem. From on high, you can dream with abandon to challenge the
unreasonable and the impossible and become the person you want to
be.

Often the smallest things make the biggest impact. Such is the case
with this little book that is unlike anything you have read.
Written as a narrative poem, Dennis Green's storytelling skill and
rhythmic cadence create an emotional bond between character and
reader that is impossible to achieve in traditional prose. The
story is unique in how it is told and how it draws us into the
lives of the characters. What Really Matters never fails to bring
tears to the eyes of those who read this marvelous tale of love and
hope. Though only seventy pages long, the scope is broad as it
follows a couple from the moment they pledge their love, through
their lifetime together. Don't be surprised if you recognize
yourself in the story. This story should be read by every couple
before marriage, and on every anniversary thereafter, as the
ultimate reminder of what really matters in our lives.
Ancient Water invites the reader to think about the Earth's growing
water crisis and the corporate giants willing to do almost anything
to control water in the name of higher profits. A scientist, his
wife, her environmentalist ex-lover, and a corporate executive
caught in the evil schemes of a global water cartel question
whether they should take up arms in defense of the Earth or to
leave the Earth to rid itself of the scourge of humanity.
Bill Bunch, Texas, Director, Save Our Springs Alliance
Ancient Water awakens us to the complacency of our every day lives
and then prompts us to realize and face the dangers of what is
being done to our water. It is our duty and responsibility to
strive with all we have to protect our water. I thought about how
our forefathers faced endless adversities, but they fought and
survived. How can we do less?
Betty Smallie, Illinois, avid reader and active octogenarian
As Copernicus vanquished an earlier age of its dead-wrong
astronomic illusions, deep ecologists are urgently trying to rid
our present age of its greatest illusion: that human interests and
survival can be understood or achieved separate from the rest of
nature. As the deep ecologists say, and as is keenly suggested in
Edwards' novel, Nature bats last. Indeed.
Patrick Gariety, Missouri, psychiatrist embracing deep ecology
Ancient Water releases a tide of awareness concerning the future
of our world. Following the characters introduced in The Caduceus,
Edwards' first novel, in this series, the author enlarges the
intrigue surrounding Francis Allenton, a discredited, water
scientist now living in France. Allenton is recruited by the
European Space Agency while his new wife reveals her historical
activism and current perspective that Mother Earth knows
best.
Larry Smallie, California, Regional Sales Director, Zaner-Bloser
Educational Publishing
This installment finds the Water Cartel up to new tricks while
Francis and Cassidy find themselves embroiled in new adventures.
Edward's latest book captivates the reader, as the story moves from
France to Louisiana. Be prepared to lose sleep as you find the book
hard to put down.
Jim Walker, Maine, wildlife photographer and environmental
activist
"When water scientist Francis Allenton discovers an authentic
caduceus in a Grecian shop, his life and work plunge into
mysteries, ancient and new. Edwards knows the territory, that same
territory that drives NASA to search for traces of water on Mars
and the outer planets, that has driven humankind to quest for the
elusive Fountain of Youth." (Jory Sherman, Author of The Baron
Decision) A fictional exploration of how our most precious natural
resource, water, can be manipulated for profit and to the determent
of humanity.
