With this book, the many wonderful musicals that played the small theaters and cabarets of Off Broadway are finally given the spotlight they deserve. Little Musicals for Little Theatres is a comprehensive reference guide to over 150 small musicals that any theater or school can produce with limited resources. Each entry includes writing credits, synopsis, cast size, musical numbers, production notes, and licensing information. The book also includes the few Broadway musicals that have small casts and can be performed in almost any circumstances. Photos give the reader a look at production requirements, and statistics on the number of performances indicate how successful a show's original production was.

Heiko A. Oberman's Masters of the Reformation - first published in German under the title Werden and Wertung der Reformation - is a general survey of academic thought and its impact on a wider world from the later Middle Ages to the emergence of Luther and the city Reformation. The book uses the early history of the University of Tubingen to illuminate late fifteenth-century theological developments and the first stirrings of the Reformation. Oberman shows from the beginning that the University of Tubingen was no ivory tower. Rather, it was a vantage point from which important trends were discerned and vital impulses disseminated. In a second section, he then describes the creation of a distinctive Tubingen school', actively involved in the territorial policies of Wurttemberg and wrestling with the major ethical problems of the day. In the third section of the book, convincing links are established between the nominalist tradition and the intellectual context of the south German Reformation. Oberman emphasises the practical application of theology to social and ethical issues, and shows how this prepared the way for the Reformation as a spiritual and material liberation.

Everything is about to change because of one free thinking demon With his newly formed demon recruits, the greatest battle of all is about to be waged, both in heaven and in hell. "Altman has picked up on things that a good portion of the population has not yet discovered . "The First Liberal "is a timely book, and one I think will get more than a few people talking. It is the kind of talk that has been needed for a long time."-Reverend Fred C. Plumer, president, The Center for Progressive Christianity Dennis Altman frames a fascinating discussion for both conservatives and liberals. Using Jesus' teachings as logical arguments unadorned by religious overtones, Altman challenges established notions with eye-opening impact. Altman highlights how Jesus brought humanist values to the Roman world of cruelty and greed. He shows how Jesus was the first liberal voice among religious and political establishments, and the first major advocate for women's and minorities' rights. Altman examines Jesus' teachings in a modern context: our obligations to one another, the dangers of greed, the effective power of nonviolence, and the importance of liberal values in shaping the world for our children. Regardless of your political or religious orientation, this exciting book will open new doors for you.
