the heartache and disappoint they refuse to give up. As they chase
their dreams and enjoy their extravagant lives, they realize that
money and fame cannot fill the void in their heart. Rita appears on
the Raven Style's show. Raven has many questions for Rita, so she
tries to ask as many as she can. "Rita James, there is so much to
talk about and so many questions I want to ask you." Raven said.
"Go ahead, I'm not scared." Rita replied. "Who was this man that
you were seen with on the beach?" Raven asked. "He is a special
person to me. I won't say his due, out of respect for him." Rita
replied. "I thought you were engaged to Tony?" Raven asked. "It's a
long story. I'll tell you another day when I have the time." Rita
replied. "You must stay busy juggling two men and a huge career.
How do the two men feel about each other?" Raven asked. "They have
never met. It was as if I had to choose between them and I could
not. I came to a fork in the road and went straight. My heart was
pulled in two different directions. When you are addicted to love,
situations like these will drive you mad. My thoughts are spinning
like lottery balls; I don't even know what my decision will be."
Rita replied. "How do you maintain in your soap opera life?" Raven
asked. "Shopping, sandy beaches, a lot of sunshine and my sister
help me through the emotional storm. My sister supports me through
the toughest times." Rita replied. "Do you ever think about seeing
a psychologist?" Raven asked. "Do you think I'm crazy?" Rita asked.
"No, I never said anything like that. I saw what you did to Carla
May. I don't want any trouble." Raven replied. "I'm not crazy. I am
just a woman who likes to stand out from the rest. I do what I
want, when I want, and I dare someone to try to stop me. I only
have one life to live and I am going to live it to the fullest. And
if you think that I will run and hide, because I'm worried about
what people think of me, then you are the one that's crazy." Rita
replied. "People have said a lot of bad things about you over the
years. Do you want to defend yourself?" Raven asked. "I'm not going
to waste my time worrying about how other people feel. I am busy
living my life and having so much fun. Life is too short for me to
waste time trying to impress other people. My main concern is
making myself happy. Fuck how they feel. If you think they hate me
now, I'm going to give them a reason to really hate me." Rita
replied. "What do you have planned?" Raven asked. "I don't plan
anything. I am the queen of soul, the queen of drama, and love. I
do what I want when I want." Rita replied.
When it is time for Keith to speak, he stands at the podium and
stares at the crowd, checking for faces. Nobody knows what Keith is
doing, because his sunglasses hide his actions. In the crowd are
many faces he has not seen in a while. He takes in all of the
change, how much people have grown and he looks for Krissy's
killer. With all of the grimy, shifty, dirty, heartless, crooked,
fake, greedy, jealous people in the crowd he do not know where to
start. Keith addresses the crowd, "My wife was a good person. If
you needed something and she had it, it was yours. It did not
matter if it was her last, it was yours. I love her so much. You
took her away from me and now I am lost. I do not know where to
start. All of the good I have done for people and somebody crosses
me like this. Come on now, I am not the one. There is nothing on
earth worth fucking with me. Look at my wife Who will guide my son?
Are you motherfucker's crazy? You kill my wife, the love of my
life. My wife My wife " Keith holds his head low and a tear drops
from the bottom of his glasses. The crowd watches Keith quietly.
Keith lifts his head up, looking at the crowd, and then he suddenly
snaps, throwing chairs into the crowd. People step over each other
trying to get out of the way. It is like water bursting out of the
floodgates how the people rush out the church.
We are blessed with this life, so don't take for granted the one
thing so many people have lost. So many people are on their death
beds right now, just wishing that they had the opportunity to see
tomorrow. So why would you waste the opportunity to be happy and do
whatever you want? Why would you waste your opportunity to dream
and live life to the fullest? Because when you are laying on your
deathbed you will look back at your life and wish you would have
chased your dreams and did what you wanted to do to be happy. Don't
waste your opportunity to live life to the fullest and be happy,
because as time goes by your opportunity is slowly fading away.
Becoming confident, smart, successful, and happy should be the goal
for everyone. If you are not where you want to be in life, now is
the time to chase your dreams and be the person you strive to be.
You have the power to recreate, reinvent, and redefine yourself.
Some people need a major change in their lives to get back on
track, because heartache, the struggle, and depression caused them
emotional damage. Being fed-up is the start of a new beginning. You
are not ready to strive for greater until you realize that you had
enough of the bullshit. You need the desire to live a better life
to fuel you and keep you focused. You need your motivation to
shield you from hate and discouragement. Because the people who are
not worth anything will hate so hard that your ears will bleed how
bad they talk about you. They will run your name through the dirt
so bad that people that you don't even know will dislike you. And
you look at all of the drama and realize that you are about to
change to get away from all of these miserable people. Realize that
you are about to step to a level these miserable people can't
reach. And when you sit high on your throne you know they are
talking about you below; but you're sitting too high to even hear
all the drama. Success is the greatest tool to erase a bad past and
kill haters. Fear is what we make it. Fear can only exist if we
allow it to. We all don't fear the same thing, because nothing is
meant to be feared. We only fear what we choose to fear. We can use
fear to be dominant and set ourselves apart from others or let fear
destroy us and restrict us. For a word that does not have a visible
form, that does not hold any weight, that can't speak, and can't
survive without us letting it into our minds, we let a word that is
powerless overpower us. Fear only exists in our imagination, and we
let our imagination destroy us from the inside out. We are our
worst enemy. We are more dangerous to ourselves than anything else
on this earth. And by us letting something that literally can't
even harm us form thoughts in our head that will crush us mentally,
we are building the perfect weapon to cause our destruction. Fear
is the greatest Trojan horse ever made. And we have people saying,
"No weapon formed against us shall prosper." But in reality so many
people have been the cause of their own destruction and don't even
realize it. When fear causes you to rethink what you know is right,
question yourself, give up, or run from your dreams then you have
been defeated by something that does not even exist. Some of the
toughest people on earth have folded and been broken by something
that don't even move the scale. Fear gets its power by feeding off
of people. All of these geniuses and tough guys are being destroyed
by their own imagination. A person's appearance means nothing; what
is going on in their mind is what matters the most. The strongest
person on this earth is someone who can adapt to change, overcome
fear, focus on their goals, listen, and learn. Power is obtained by
knowledge; and it is strengthened by the ignorance of others.
We have a great history of people who struggled enjoying who they
were. We struggle with this also. Can we learn from them and begin
to enjoy today? Yes, we can!
What do you think? Do you feel stuck in a rut? Or is it a grave?
Understanding where you are mentally is a great key to getting
where you want to go. "Every Thought of the Heart" explores this
concept in three different ways, explaining the process of our
thoughts, as seeds, threads and steps. Our thoughts as seeds
produce a harvest. What type of seeds are growing in the garden of
your heart? What type of fruit do you receive? Would you like to
change the outcome? The parable of the sower contains many wondrous
truths about man's heart and how it should work. Your mind is like
fabric woven of every thought you have ever had. Some threads need
to be unraveled and removed and the fabric repaired. Do you
identify with Adam or Jesus? Who are you? The direction of our
lives is determined by the steps we take. Each thought of our heart
points us in a direction. Enough of the same thoughts becomes the
path of our feet. Through the understanding of the scriptures and
by prayer coupled with the power of the holy spirit we can
understand why we think as we do. We can change if need be. The
goal of this book is to enable the reader to be able to do as Jesus
commanded his disciples in John 14.27: Peace I leave with you, my
peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. We can
control our thoughts and therefore control our hearts. We can have
peace.
"The Salts of the Earth and Synthetic Insanity" by Dennis Miller is
a radically different view of the cause of Bipolar Mental Disorder.
Author Dennis Miller uses physiology and biochemistry to explain
this disease, also known as manic-depression. This book is unlike
any other book on bipolar disease. Author Dennis Miller sets forth
a physiologic explanation of the symptoms and cause of this
disease. Author Dennis Miller proposes that the mental symptoms are
a result of a physiologic disease that affects the kidney. Author
Dennis Miller substantiates this theory with over 200 footnotes,
many from the medical texts "Harrison's Principles of Internal
Medicine" and "The Merck Manual," National Institute of Health, and
major universities. If you have this disease or if you are involved
in the treatment of this disease, then "The Salts of the Earth and
Synthetic Insanity" is an absolute necessity.

Now, I don't want to get off on a rant here
The New York Times called Dennis Miller's The Rants "a pleasing mix of profanity and wit...that will make fans of his irreverent liberal angst laugh out loud." Readers across the nation clearly agreed, because the book stayed on the Times hardcover bestseller list for months, with more than 130,000 copies in print. Now, an even broader audience can discover Miller's stinging wit in paperback.
Dennis Miller respects no boundaries. Whether the subject is dope-addled baseball players who can no longer swing their bats, do-nothing politicians who devote their careers to creating meaningful sound bites, or the nation's resigned acceptance of violence as a way of American life, these thematically arranged monologues are funny and angry. More significantly, they shatter the conventions of comedy by simultaneously making us laugh, think, and seethe.
When Miller takes the stage, the audience demands, "the rants, the rants, the rants." Here is the collection of his invigorating and thought-provoking monologues that showcase his singular point of view.
In this fourth installment of his acclaimed Rants series, bestselling author, Emmy Award-winning talk-show host, and wisecracking analyst for ABC's Monday Night Football Dennis Miller makes hamburger meat out of society's most sacred cows as only he can, with the kinds of allusions that require high SAT scores -- or at least a smart crib sheet. This time around, Miller takes on child stars with rap sheets, women with bigger muscles than his own, herbs you don't smoke, God, and football. As always, nothing is out-of-bounds.
