The first series of the 1970s BBC drama, produced in collaboration
with the Royal Navy, exploring the challenges faced by Royal
Marines. Commander Nialls (Donald Burton) is the man at the helm of
HMS Hero. With a crew that includes Lieutenant Commander Beaumont
(David Savile) at his disposal, Nialls tackles a variety of
problems at sea all around the world. James Cosmo also stars in a
cast that includes real Royal Marine Commandos. The episodes are:
'Hot Pursuit', 'Nobody Said Frigate', 'Off Caps', 'Funny, They All
Say That', 'The Drop', 'The Prize', 'Sub Smash', 'A Standing and
Jumping War' and 'Shoresides and Home'.
This book is the result of a life time of personal search into the
causes of success and failure in the life of the author. It does
not pretend to be a scientific or psychological thesis on the laws
of mind and achievement. But, a fair amount of inquisitive
searching and the study of similar ideas put forward by other
seekers over the centuries has resulted in a fairly ordered and
consistent set of observations that has prompted the writing of
this book. The years spent in search and observation of the
circumstances encountered in his own life, has drawn the author to
a personal preference towards the wealth of knowledge on the
subject that is contained in the Bible. This knowledge was always
freely available to the seeker, if he was but determined in his
efforts to get past the piles of extraneous information that comes
to us through second-hand sources. The author's references to
various passages of the Bible within these pages are based on his
own understanding and interpretation of the meaning conveyed. It is
meant merely to stimulate the interest and desire of the reader to
continue further with his own research, independently and
confidently. Quantum Physics now tells us that our lives are
colored by our own unique expectations and desires. It is the
author's belief that the Bible says the same thing differently - "I
will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. No
longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know
the Lord, ' because they will all know me..." - Jeremiah 31:33-34.
Your life is your own. You owe it to yourself to examine it and
shape it for the best possible expression of your individuality.
