Aus der Fulle des Stoffes ist das ausgewahlt, was in den Vorlesungen und Praktika der Technischen Universitaten und Fachhochschulen behandelt wird und fur die messtechnische Praxis in Laboratorium, Pruffeld, Betrieb und Montage von besonderer Bedeutung ist: Aufbau, Wirkungsweise, Eigenschaften und Betriebsverhalten der Messgerate sowie Elemente, Auf bau und Anwendung von Messschaltungen. Die zugrunde liegenden Messprinzipien und ihre theoretischen Grundlagen werden einge hend behandelt und die praktischen Ausfuhrungen an ausgewahlten Beispielen erlautert. Die Messtechnik ist durch die schnelle Entwicklung elektronischer Verfahren gepragt. Ihrem Fortschritt suchte bereits die vorangegangene Auflage durch entsprechende Neugliederung, Neubearbeitung und Erweiterung der Darstellung gerecht zu werden, namentlich in den Abschnitten uber elektronische Gerate und Verfahren sowie durch den neuaufgenommenen Abschnitt uber Messverfahren in der Nachrichtentechnik. Fur die 8. Auflage wurde das Buch uberarbeitet, abschnittsweise erweitert, besonders auf dem Gebiet der digitalen Messtechnik, und dem neuesten technischen Stand angepasst. Zu besonderem Dank fur ihre Mitwirkung und ihre Ratschlage bin ich den Mitverfassern verpflichtet.
