A premiere recording of Rossini's opera, performed live at the Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro in 2011. Transposing the tale of 'Moses in Egypt' to modern times, the production features vocalists Alex Esposito as Faraone, Sonia Ganassi as Elcia, and Dmitry Korchak as the Pharaoh's son, while bass Riccardo Zanellato makes his Rossini Festival debut as Moses. The Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Comunale di Bologna are conducted by Claudio Abbado.

Andrea Battistoni leads the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio Di Parma in Stefano Vizioli's spirited production of Rossini's opera, recorded live in 2011. The performers include Ketevan Kemoklidze, Luca Salsi and Dmitry Korchak.
