Ibos-Vitart stands among the most amazing architecture offices in France and among the few who have gained a well followed reception internationally. Jean-Marc Ibos and Myrto Vitart have started their career working with Jean Nouvel, being in charge with some of his key projects. Soon after they left Nouvel, their first major work, the extension and remodeling of Lille Fine Art Museum, won the l’Equerre d’argent, a prestigious award in France. Their design is the result of a deliberately restrained attitude. It is rooted in their profound consciousness of the responsibility of the architect in society. Delivering lasting buildings that value and enrich a place while serving present and future users and inhabitants is their goal. This book documents 15 Projects extensively – designed by Ruedi Baur.

Josep Lluis Mateo (born 1949) is one of Spain's-and Europe's-most prolific and visible architects, as energetic as a teacher and lecturer as he is an architect. Mateo has designed corporate headquarters, housing units, office blocks and hotels throughout Western Europe, and has also renovated urban centers in Gerona (Spain) and Castelo Branco (portugal). this volume looks back at nearly 30 years of Mateo's built structures, as portrayed by the architectural photographer Adria Goula. As well as buildings from the 80s and 90s, it also looks at his most important projects of the past few years, from the Banc Sabadell Headquarters renovation (2004) and the Factory office building in Boulogne-Billancourt, France (2010) to the PGGM Headquarters in Zeist, Holland (2011) and the Catalonian Film Theater in Barcelona (2011). Interspersed among Goula's photographs are Mateo's observations and musings on architecture.

The new MEETT Toulouse exhibition and convention centre in the French city of Toulouse once again demonstrates how a seemingly dull, functional task results in striking and refined architecture if the Rotterdam-based Office for Metropolitan Architecture OMA and its mastermind Rem Koolhaas take care of it. The vast structure, covering ca 618 by 246 yards of ground, makes for a spectacular spatial experience in its main exhibition hall that offers 484,376 square feet of column-free floor space. OMA also took an unusual path with regard to the configuration and transport connection of the entire complex. Rather than sealing even more ground with tarmac for endless car parks, it concentrated them into a compact multi-storey parking garage at the heart of the complex that also serves as a general traffic hub for MEETT Toulouse. The book offers impressions of MEETT Toulouse's enormous dimensions and the vast spaces it provides through images taken by French photographer Marco Cappelletti. The volume is rounded out with selected plans and concise texts on the particulars of the project.
