Stan Rogers, a successful software entrepreneur, has a plan to help
third world countries speed up their progress into the developing
world and to give back some of what he has reaped from the hi-tech
boom. He sets off on a journey to visit heads of state and CEO's of
large corporations to implement this idea. The vehicle for this
trek is his super sportfishing yacht, "Micro Fiche." Along the way
he samples world class big game fishing, his other passion in life.
Many of these spectacular days of blue-water angling are taken from
the real life experiences of the author. Unfortunately, there are
those whose special interests are threatened by Roger's scheme for
these poor countries. These include a U.S. Senator, former Navy
Seal, and a couple of corporation executives. These and other
people set out to sabotage the negotiations and Roger's comrades as
well. A series of incidents from Cairo, to Baja California, to the
Northern California Wine Country brings the reader inside the
action as Stan and his fishing buddies attempt to protect, and
finally deliver, a library of computer disks back into the United
States. The premature revelation of the data and agreements on
these disks could very well scuttle the entire project. If you have
ever wished for a little more in-depth view into the sport of
offshore fishing, the boutique wine business, and a fresh tack on
international philanthropy, along with the intrigue swirling around
this voyage, pick up this easy reading but thoughtful book.
While today's real world slowly grapples with the causes and
consequences of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the
flood of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border of the
United States, Stan Rogers, the entrepreneurial hero of Don
Anderson's trilogy (Deadly Calm; Seas the Day; and Golden Results)
employs a different method. Successful and wealthy due to his
skills and vision in the world of technology, Rogers seeks to give
back by addressing the global issues of the day. Rogers already has
had a great impact on the issues of population control, drug
running, illegal immigration, and unsustainable fishing practices.
In Golden Results, Rogers turns his attention to energy. Combining
both realism and idealism, Rogers cuts through the usual
bureaucratic red tape while playing by a set of rules that will
address a level field. Not everyone in the story does. Political
intrigue includes red tape designed to trip-up Rogers and to
marginalize his ideas and vision, while powerful cartel leaders,
seeing Rogers' energy project as a threat to their drug routes,
play by a different set of rules, trailing death behind them as
they try to kill the project. The venue is Baja California and the
ocean with the array of fish that live within. Whether the
challenger takes on dorado, speedy tuna, strong trevelly, or
spectacular tarpon in native waters-or monstrous billfish prowling
the oceans with weapon unsheathed-the chance of success or failure
looms at any time. So it is when Stan fishes; so it is when Stan
addresses a global problem. A strong sense of conservation winds
through the story like a line pulled from the reel by a powerful
fish yet linked to a fisherman who knows and values the integrity
of the sea and its inhabitants.

Personal life stories of Starseeds and ET Hybrids incarnated on
Earth. Their purpose for being here is to help other Starseeds
awaken, to unite Earth's Star family, and to help expand the minds
of Humanity. A Starseed, or Starbeing, is someone who lives on
Earth, but whose soul is of Extraterrestrial (ET) identity and
origin. This self-awareness and knowledge of having ET origins is
what we call being awakened. Awakening to one's true self is a very
personal, spiritual and self-empowering journey. This path is most
often lonely, challenging and not understood nor supported by
mainstream society.

Here is a book for both the wannabe angler and the seriously
afflicted. If it's saltwater gamefishing you are after, you will
find the secrets that help 10% of participants catch 90% of the
fish. From Barracuda to Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail to Dorado, Wahoo
to Marlin, and many other species, you will learn which techniques
are common to areas such as Mexico, Australia, Central America, and
especially The Pacific Coast of California and Baja California. You
will also examine techniques that are uniquely successful in
certain local areas of the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The author traces
fisheries from the 1950's to the present, showing how declining
abundance can be overcome by trying new areas, refining techniques,
and becoming a student of the hunt for these spectacular fighters.
Curl up in front of the fireplace to warm you through the winter
months, then take the book aboard to try the tested methods
outlined in each chapter. Experts will pick up tips or reaffirm
their own systems. Conservation issues are addressed, and some
unique, simple ways to cook your catch. And a complete list of
fishing terms so you can swap stories using the proper jargon.
