Imagine the essence of each positive and negative learning
experience of a person over a lifetime, as single grains of sand,
gathered from a vast mystical beach. Now imagine the positive
grains separating from their negative counterparts, and being
whisked to Earth in a magical whirlwind. Envision these positive
grains of sand being dynamically transformed and assembled into
concise, readable, and useful contexts as they reach the Earth. Now
imagine these useful contexts being bound into book form with the
lighthearted title - "Feel Good Fables." Picture yourself reading
one or more of these concise fables (short stories imbued with a
moral compass), as time permits, in either random or sequential
fashion, as you prefer. Now imagine your stresses easing and a
sense of "feeling good" as you finish reading each fable. Picture
peace -- now imagine this peace enveloping your life... Enjoy We
hope you will take away some enjoyable and subtle -- if not
invaluable -- insights from Feel Good Fables. We enjoyed
incorporating memory shards and situations from both yesteryear and
today . . . and wrapping each entry in a concisely presented
fictional veneer to underline our ethical and moral points. Don
Death can be devastating for loved ones left behind. And when a
child dies, it can be even more devastating. The demise of
eight-year-old Kwame Kyler is indeed a case in point. But
remarkably in his death is born a renewed hope for many. Given only
six months to live at birth, Kwame astonishes all with his amazing
continued improvement of his serious heart defect. His
determination to avoid a looming death is only surpassed by his
zestful approach to life. In August of 1980, he is medically
cleared to finally fulfill his two year dream of joining his
friends on their youth football team. Then tragically, at his first
practice session, Kwame Kyler collapses and dies. This is the story
of how his loving parents find the courage to cope with this
tragedy, as they are aided by the unexpected and unlikely support
from strangers in a community hundreds of miles away. These two
racially diverse communities bond in a joint effort to remember and
honor this heroic little boy. And in the end, Kwame Kyler's tragic
death evolves triumphant as it provokes the rendering of life
altering enlightenments through the crossing of cultural lines.
"Rick, you've been chosen and assigned the mission to deliver this
inspirational story." -The Rev. Geri Kyler- Kwame Kyler's mother
A Quest for Personal Growth is written in a self-help poetry
format, where each topic has a narrative and poem. The topical
arrangements are woven together by one common thread and have no
other relevance with respect to the actual order. Self-help is one
of our greatest natural resources, where the notion to help our
self, in is fact a tool to help others, which is born of personal
choice. Poetry allows for a creative license to explore the
unexplored, without any preconceived notions attached. This common
thread brings to light the idea that life is a blessing and loving
a purpose. There is an infinite balance within all creation as the
two interact with choice and free will. Living in this grace is a
grand design and sharing this knowledge is a mutual benefit of
evolution. Accordingly, it establishes that we are all connected,
one to the other, in an endless chain of expression. This awareness
states that life is love incarnate and we are one in this
purposeful quest back to the instinctive light of creation. We
share in the blessing of intent, dually receiving from the great
universal pool of cause and effect. And all matters of cause and
effect are initiated by our choices. The purpose of progression and
the pursuit of its progress are in divine accord with the grand
design, as this path of free will, is in fact, our quest for
personal growth.
