Poetry is the oldest form of literature known to mankind. Its
shape, form and thoughts have expressed a man's life, philosophy
and experience clearer than the man himself. It reaches beyond the
physical expression and takes the reader into the spiritual depths
of the poet. My poetry has the uniqueness of life, experience and
above all living. After spending nearly forty years teaching and
coaching, life has given many opportunities to view the world,
people, animals, space - abstract and concrete - real and surreal.
My collection of poems express these views - some with clarity,
some with a reach to the farthest depths of the mind; but greater
than anything else, they are reality to the fullest - leaving the
impression for a life. The people in the poems are people that
crossed my daily walk through life. Each of them created images
influencing my thinking, and creating challenges and feelings
during this walk.
Managing Cancer Breakthrough Pain is a comprehensive review of
cancer breakthrough pain (cBTP) and rapid-onset opioids (ROO), the
only treatment approved for cBTP episodes. The book was originally
commissioned due to the current rapid growth of the ROO market and
the epidemic of ROO abuse. This book will review the historical
background and definitions of cBTP and ROOs, assessment methods to
determine types of cBTP, US- and EU-approved ROOs, case studies
(which will provide practical applications of ROO treatment
options), ROO abuse and screening methods, and the FDA-mandated
TIRF REMS Access program (Transmucosal Immediate Release Fentanyl
Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies Access program). Busy
healthcare professionals who have a basic understanding of cancer
pain but want to learn more about cBTP and ROOs will benefit from
this concise guide that will help them quickly understand the
complexities of cBTP episodes and ROOs.
SUMMARY OF "THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD" There isn't a day that goes
by in which we don't sin. How can we sin so much and still have
grace with God? Paul believed that as sinners we were "justified"
by faith in the Messiah, not by perfect keeping of the law. An
attempt is made to faithfully follow Paul's logic, beginning with
his thesis statement in Romans 1:16-17 and concluding in Romans
11:36. The central theme is clear: God has done for man what man
could not do for himself. Attention is given to the volatile
Jew/Gentile mix of the first century Roman church. Objections that
Jewish members seem to have suggested against Paul's ideas are
clearly noted, along with Paul's logical and Scriptural answers.
Special attention is given to certain difficult passages such as
(1) God's prerogative to choose (9:1-33), (2) the question of God's
"rejection" of Israel (11:1-6), (3) Israel's "stumbling" and the
consequent "riches" of the Gentiles (11:11-15), and (4) the
"irrevocable" gifts and calling of God (11:25-32). The remainder of
the book discusses Paul's recommendations to Christians in
consequence of God's wonderful work in us.
Lithium has a number of uses but one of the most valuable is a
component of high energy-density rechargeable lithium-ion
batteries. Because of concerns over carbon dioxide footprint and
increasing hydrocarbon fuel cost (reduced supply), lithium may
become even more important in large batteries for powering
all-electric and hybrid vehicles. Estimates of future lithium
demand vary, based on numerous variables. Some of those variables
include the potential for recycling, widespread public acceptance
of electric vehicles, or the possibility of incentives for
converting to lithium-ion-powered engines. This book addresses some
of the issues raised by the increased focus on lithium, including
the context of the lithium market into which future lithium-based
large batteries must fit, the projected effect of electric and
hybrid cars on lithium demand, various estimates for future lithium
demand, and obstacles to reaching the more optimistic estimates.
This book and the series to come is about a little dog who came

and he came home with us I knew he was special. I said,"he is a
little angel given to use," Sparky T makes our lives better each
day - with his joy, enthusiasm and loving manner to everyone. Also
I must acknowledge our illustrator, JoAnne Carlisle. She has
adapated and given the stories - life and color with her Creative
and artistic ability
