EVEN THOUGH SALIVA LACKS THE DRAMA OF BLOOD, SINCERITY OF SWEAT, EMOTIONS OF TEARS, SALIVA SHOULD BE USED AS A TUMOR MARKER AS ITS CONSTITUENT SHOWS VARIATION DURING PATHOLOGY FOR VERY EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER AND ALSO TO CHECK DURING THE FOLLOW UP STAGES.AS THIS IS ECONOMICAL & REPEATED AT CHAIR SIDE WITH VERY MINIMAL LABORATORY EQUIPMENTS.ALSO FEW STUDIES ON THE ORAL CANDIDA ALBICANS HAS SHOWN THEIR MALIGNANT POTENTIAL ALONG WITH LEUKOPLAKIA.HENCE THIS STUDY EMPHASISES ON BOTH MICROBILOGY, BIOCHEMISTRY & ORAL PATHOLOGY.THIS WAS JUST AN SMALL SUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT STILL FURTHER MORE RESEARCH HAS TO BE DONE IN THIS CONTEXT.
