This is a parent/student guide to assist our youth with their
journey to accomplishing a successful career and ambassadorship. It
chronicles the four stages of a child's life, from conception to
college, and the responsibility that both parent and child must
accept for success in life. Stage one: conception through
pre-school-the focus is on the parent(s) because they are the
child's first teacher. Stage two: Middle School-the focus shifts
from the parents and tilts toward the adolescent. Stage three: High
School-the spotlight is on the student or young adult with the

Everyone has life's challenges and can face them with fear or with
trust. I choose to look at them as experiences where God blessed me
with His curve balls thrown in. These curve balls are not the
negative, painful or abusive life experiences that I have lived
through, but rather the unexpected, blessings, gifts, and graces
God threw in to help me through the experiences. I believe that
these curve balls were given so that I can witness to His great and
awesome presence in and through the experiences, the people in
those experiences and in myself as living through and surviving the
experiences as a better, not bitter human being.
Bill Cummings has such a marvelous ability to arrive immediately at
the core of a problem, and deliver wisdom in small, succinct, and
understandable doses." Juanita Jordan, President Peyton Anderson
Foundation "Dr. C. showed me that it isn't enough to have an
open-door policy; sometimes you have to walk out of that door, go
down the hall, and be proactive in soliciting the opinions and
concerns of the folks who work for you." Chap McMichael, Vice
President Electro-Mech Scoreboard Co. "Bill Cummings has been an
invaluable help to our company for years. Behind Your Back is a
wonderful collection of lessons that are right on target. The only
thing better is to receive these lessons from him in person." Bob
Hatcher, President MidCountry Financial Corporation .
