When the British and Canadian governments want the people of the world, particularly France, to be reminded of the French Vichy government's involvement and active participation in the Final Solution during World War 2, a simple plan of communication turns into dangers never anticipated. Special consultant to MI6 Ed Crowe, along with his special friend and CSIS operative Pat W., spend their August 1985 'honeymoon' in Paris in order to communicate the details of the Vichy's proactive involvement. The success of the plan leads to international headlines and the identification of neo-Nazi groups in both France and Britain, including their importation of illegal drugs into Britain. The ensuing activity results in the reluctant involvement of Scotland Yard and the enthusiastic involvement of the CIA. While the work is dangerous and deadly, it only serves to deepen the love between Ed Crowe and Carolyn Andrews, daughter of Lord Stonebridge, the head of the British Secret Service, MI6.
A spy novel, that addresses contemporary issues of terrorism in a light-hearted and witty manner, in Mrs. Thatcher's England and democratically emerging Turkey
As a special consultant to the British Secret Service-MI6-Ed Crowe works again with his special friend Pat W. from CSIS to assist in the identification and capture of the members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army who were directly involved in the Brighton Bombing. The bombing on October 12, 1984, was aimed at the British Cabinet and resulted in five deaths and thirty-four injured. Lord Stonebridge, the head of MI6, on behalf of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher requests the assistance of Canada through Prime Minister Brain Mulroney to bring the terrorists to justice. English-born Ed Crowe travels from his Oakville, Ontario-based home to England, Holland, and Scotland in search of the IRA leader Patrick Magee. Operation Tea Party offers him the opportunity to see and spend more time with the love of his life, Carolyn Andrews, the daughter of Lord and Lady Stonebridge.
Ed Crowe, an English-born travel agent living on Oakville, Ontario, Canada, maintains his involvement as a special consultant with the British Secret Intelligence Service-MI6-taking advantage of his Canadian passport. His prior involvement and success in negotiating with the Kurdish terrorist organization in Turkey, the PKK, has identified him as the man for a new and more dangerous role. Traveling to Libya, he searches to bring back to Britain the killer of a British police officer from the uprising of the Libyan Embassy in London, in April 1984. While not resulting in complete success, the resulting actions take him to Sofia, Bulgaria, and Paris, France, during which he tries to maintain and grow the love with Carolyn Andrews, the daughter of Lord Stonebridge-the head of MI6.
