According to the liner notes, the album was recorded live in 1969
at the Fillmore East in New York City. Featuring saxophones, flutes

of drumming, a deliberate omission that gives the tracks their

"Valleys Of Neptune," one of the most sought after of Hendrix's
commercially unavailable recordings. This album also includes
exciting 1969 arrangements of classic signature songs "Red House,"
"Fire" and "Stone Free". Majority of the recordings were made
between February and May 1969 as The Jimi Hendrix Experienceset out
to create their sequel to the groundbreaking 1968 double album
Electric Ladyland.
