Their application as corrosion inhibitor has been investigated and reported. Physicochemical properties of the gums reveal that the gum has some potential for use in the food, polymer and pharmaceutical industries as well as intermediates for other chemicals.This gum has been found to be a good corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in solution of HCl.
