This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Workshop on Enterprise and Organizational Modeling and Simulation, EOMAS 2018, held in Tallinn, Estonia, in June 2018. The main focus of EOMAS is on the role, importance, and application of modeling and simulation within the extended organizational and enterprise context. The 11 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 22 submissions. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Workshop on Enterprise and Organizational Modeling and Simulation, EOMAS 2015, held at CAiSE 2015, in June 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. EOMAS was founded with the purpose to become a forum among researchers and practitioners to share their research and practical findings by encouraging the dissemination of research results under a more generic umbrella called enterprise engineering, which encompasses internal factors ranging from organizational complexity to intricacy of business processes and sophistication in workflows as well as external factors and uncertainties such as competition, politics, or the emergence of innovative technologies. The 15 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 28 submissions. They were organized in topical sections named: enterprise conceptual modeling and simulation; enterprise modeling formal foundation; and enterprise optimization.
This book aims to bind together latest theories on creation of innovative clusters and operating modalities, empirical analysis, and several new formal models describing cluster formation and dynamics. Another objective of the book is the analysis of the role of the innovative activities on the economic performances of the firm during the crisis, focusing the attention on the complementarities existing among the innovative dimensions, hypothesizing a positive role of integrated innovative strategies in increasing the firm resilience to the challenges brought by the economic crisis. The part of empirical analysis contains a comprehensive survey of different international legislation sources useful for deep studies of influential factors and peculiarities. In this book international statistical reports on economic activity and business cases of successful application of clusters model are described for Western Europe and BRIC. This book also presents authors findings in the domain of mathematical and simulation modeling of the major elements of cluster and innovation management.

In this book an extremely important problem of interoperability in heterogeneous distributed software systems is addressed. The author proposed a new approach to achieving semantic interoperability in a broad range of distributed software systems (such as multiagent systems and sensors networks) on the basis of hierarchical information modeling guided by concepts and constraints of a correspondent application domain. In accordance with the proposed approach a shared conceptual model of application domain, which is called ontology, becomes a semantic bridge between heterogeneous software engineering models. As a result transformation of ontology represents a hierarchical process which consists of manual connection of incoherent engineering models to shared ontology, automatic discovering of semantically related instances of runtime data structures by logical inference and constraints resolution in finite domain, and manual definition of transformations between instances of runtime data structures driven by constraints on the level of domain ontology and software engineering models.
