Sparkle the Snowflake arrives during the first snowstorm of the season. His time on earth is short, but with the help of Breezy, the gently flowing wind, and Puff, the blustery winter gale, he and his friends take part in an adventurous journey.

A family of raccoons and their woodland neighbors are about to lose their habitat due to the construction of a new highway. This dangerous "black river" will separate them from their feeding ground. Unable to stop the road's progress, they band together to find a way to safely cross it and continue their nightly trips to their beloved meadow.
