Adaptation of the award-winning comic series created by Frank Miller. Interweaving multiple storylines from the series' history, the film paints a picture of the ultimate town through the eyes of its roughest characters. There's the street thug Marv (Mickey Rourke), whose desperate quest to find the killer of a prostitute named Goldie (Jaime King) will lead him to the foulest edges of town. Inhabiting many of those areas is Dwight (Clive Owen), a photographer in league with the sordid ladies of Sin City, headed by Gail (Rosario Dawson), who opens up a mess of trouble after tangling with a corrupt cop by the name of Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro). Finally, there's Hartigan (Bruce Willis), an ex-cop with a heart problem who's hell-bent on protecting a stripper named Nancy (Jessica Alba).
The first of three epic instalments in director Peter Jackson's blockbuster prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Set in Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', the story follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help reclaim the Dwarves' lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of Smaug the dragon. After setting out on their quest from the safety of Bag End, the band of travellers soon find themselves pitted against a range of strange and fearsome opponents, in addition to a small, slimy creature known simply as Gollum (Andy Serkis).
Animated, action-packed fantasy adventure set in a post-apocalyptic future where the human race has been destroyed by machines which they themselves created. All that exists, aside from a number of the machines, is a group of sapient rag dolls brought to life by a scientist in the final days of humanity who stumble upon 9 (voiced by Elijah Wood), another of their own kind. The group, consisting of war veteran and leader 1 (Christopher Plummer), frail inventor 2 (Martin Landau), non-verbal twins 3 and 4, engineer 5 (John C Reilly), vision-plagued artist 6 (Crispin Glover), brave fighter 7 (Jennifer Connelly), and dim but strong 8 (Fred Tatasciore), welcome 9 in the hope that he can help them muster the courage to battle the remaining machines and save what is left of the world.
Eugenio Mira directs this thriller starring Elijah Wood, John Cusack and Kerry Bishé. Tom Selznick (Wood) is the most talented concert pianist of his generation. However, lately Tom's career has stalled due to crippling bouts of stage fright, which interfere with his ability to perform at the highest level. After seeking help for his issues, Tom returns to the stage for a sold out comeback performance, supported by his wife Emma (Bishé). All is going well until Tom turns the page on his sheet music and finds a threatening message scrawled there. Soon, via an earpiece, Tom is put in touch with his tormenter, Clem (Cusack). Clem assures him that he has a high-powered rifle trained on him and will open fire if Tom hits one wrong note. How will the virtuoso cope under a very different kind of performance pressure?
