Joel Schumacher directs this drama based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Nick McDonell. Set in the world of the super-rich in Manhattan's Upper East Side, the film is a disturbing chronicle of privileged urban adolescence. Despite his unlimited potential, rich kid White Mike (Chace Crawford) has dropped out of his senior year at high school and spends his days selling marijuana to his ultra-privileged friends. But Mike's charmed existence hits a brick wall when his cousin is brutally murdered in an East Harlem project and his best friend is arrested for the crime. The supporting cast includes Emma Roberts, Ellen Barkin, 50 Cent and Rory Culkin. Keifer Sutherland narrates.

Triple bill of police thrillers. 'Big Bang' (2011) stars Antonio Banderas as a Los Angeles private detective handed an unusual assignment. When Ned Cruz (Banderas) is approached by a Russian boxer (Robert Maillet) to find his missing girlfriend (Sienna Guillory) and the $30 million worth of diamonds in her possession, it is clear that this will not be an everyday job. Can Cruz make sense of the bizarre circumstances and track down the missing girl? 'Bad Cop' (2010) is an action thriller set in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans. Johnny Strong stars as Sean Riley, a beleaguered police detective struggling to cope with the recent death of his young son and the subsequent breakdown of his marriage. After a call goes horribly wrong, Riley looks set to lose his job - unless he can solve a series of brutal murders that have sent the city spiralling into gang warfare. In 'Operation Endgame' (2010) a top-secret facility underneath Washington D.C. finds two competing teams of assassins - code-named according to a deck of Tarot cards - at work. When a new employee known only as The Fool (Joe Anderson) arrives for his first day of work, he is alarmed to find his new boss murdered and the entire building rigged with explosives. The Fool must race against the clock to identify the killer and make his escape. Zach Galifianakis, Brandon T. Jackson and Maggie Q co-star.

New York cop Frank Keller (Al Pacino) is divorced, disenchanted and coming close to retirement. A serial killer strikes in the city, attacking men in their bedrooms and it would seem that a woman using the personal ads is responsible. Keller teams up with fellow cop Sherman (John Goodman), who has also had a serial killer operating on his patch, and together they dream up the idea of placing their own advertisements in the personal columns, dating the women and collecting their fingerprints. One woman who answers the ad is the beautiful and seductive Helen (Ellen Barkin). Frank falls heavily for her and against his better judgement begins an affair with the prime suspect.

In 1971, journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) and his companion Dr Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro) arrive in Las Vegas, ostensibly so Raoul can cover the Mint 400 off-track race. The duo embark on a massive drugs binge, checking into the Mint hotel before visiting the Bazzoka Circus casino while high on ether. The hedonistic weekend continues the following day, with Raoul and Gonzo meeting various way-out characters along the way. Watch out for cameos by Cameron Diaz, Christina Ricci and Gary Busey in Terry Gilliam's visually stunning adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's cult novel.

Romantic drama. When Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) travels to Verona in Italy, she stumbles upon an age-old superstition whereby people seeking advice in matters of the heart leave letters in the courtyard of the fictional Juliet, which are then answered by a group of volunteers known as the 'secretaries of Juliet'.

When Sophie replies to one letter that has remained unanswered for 50 years, she is amazed when its author, Claire (Vanessa Redgrave), arrives in Italy with her grandson Charlie (Christopher Egan) to track down the fiance she left behind decades before. Sophie joins them on their quest through the hills of Tuscany as they search for Lorenzo, Claire's long-lost love - and soon finds herself tumbling headlong into a romance of her own.
