Librarians Stuart Goodson and Myra see their regular winter day shaken up when a collection of homeless patrons decide to take shelter in their library overnight as temperatures outside drop to deadly levels of freezing. What starts as a peaceful sit-in quickly escalates into a full-on face-off, orchestrated on one side by city prosecutor and mayoral candidate, Josh Davis and on the other by increasingly impatient crisis negotiator, Bill Ramstead, resulting in a growing media storm with violence on the horizon...
Extended cut of Francis Ford Coppola's tale of gang rivalries in 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma. Based on the novel by S.E. Hinton, the story depicts the ongoing feud between the rich middle-class 'Socs' and the working-class 'Greasers' from across town, which include 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis, his brothers Darrel and Sodapop and 16-year-old Johnny Cade. The simmering feud escalates into murder, revenge and betrayal when some of the Greasers get too close to one of the Socs' girlfriends.
In this remarkable dual memoir, film legend Martin Sheen and his accomplished actor/director son Emilio Estevez share the stories of their lives while charting a spiritual journey through the Spain of their ancestors. At twenty-one, still a struggling actor, Martin and his wife, Janet, welcomed their firstborn, Emilio, who was quickly followed by three more children. Emilio had a special relationship with Martin: they often mirrored each other's passions and sometimes clashed in their differences. After Martin and Emilio traveled together to India for the movie "Gandhi," the beginnings of a spiritual awakening eventually led both men to Spain. Along the famed Camino de Santiago pilgrimage path, Emilio directed Martin in "The Way," bringing generations together in the region of Spain where Martin's father was born and near where Emilio's own son had moved to marry and live. With vivid, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, "Along the Way" is a striking, stirring, funny story--a family saga that is as universal in its rebellions and regrets, aspirations and triumphs.
Alex Cox's 1980s cult classic in which a luckless man forced to take a job as a car repossession worker finds that it transforms his life. Otto (Emilio Estevez) is an L.A. punk rocker with an attitude - qualities which cost him dearly when he is fired from his job at a supermarket after a fight with a co-worker. Then his girlfriend dumps him. Wandering the streets in despair, Otto meets Bud (Harry Dean Stanton), a 'repo man' who attempts to educate Otto on the value of his occupation. Otto is unconvinced but, with few other options, he takes Bud's advice and becomes a car repossession worker. Otto suddenly finds himself living a fast-paced life involving hotwiring, car chases and physical threats from irate car owners. Ultimately, he becomes entangled in the chase for a '64 Chevy driven by a mad scientist (Fox Harris) said to contain a lethal cargo.
