Emmanuelle Haim directs the Le Concert d'Astrée in this performance of Mozart's opera filmed in the French cities of Lille and Dijon. David Lescot directs the cast which includes Carlo Allemano, Erin Morley, Enea Scala and Nikolay Borchev.

A premiere recording of Rossini's opera, performed live at the Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro in 2011. Transposing the tale of 'Moses in Egypt' to modern times, the production features vocalists Alex Esposito as Faraone, Sonia Ganassi as Elcia, and Dmitry Korchak as the Pharaoh's son, while bass Riccardo Zanellato makes his Rossini Festival debut as Moses. The Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Comunale di Bologna are conducted by Claudio Abbado.
