End of the Age - The Historian (Paperback): Ervin Sims End of the Age - The Historian (Paperback)
Ervin Sims 1
R377 Discovery Miles 3 770 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

It is 957YOL and Paul Watanabe has a bachelor's degree in history and a fiance. Paul lives in a world that has been at peace for over eight hundred years. There is one world government, one world king, the Lord Emmanuel. Lord Emmanuel is both king and God and he has a race of ancient beings to back him up. As an aspiring historian, Paul knows about ancient God/Kings, but that was different; surely the Lord Emmanuel truly is king and God. More important to Paul is his new wife and new career. After all, everyone had work and a place to live; no one went hungry. What more could one ask?

End of the Age - Book One - The Ascendant (Paperback): Ervin Sims End of the Age - Book One - The Ascendant (Paperback)

R332 Discovery Miles 3 320 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

In 953YOL Paul Watanabe turned 21. After graduating from High School and completing his Universal Service requirement he was ready to attain the status of full citizen of the Empire. Paul ascended from minor status and gained the rights and responsibilities of a citizen. From this time on Lord Emmanuel's Government would hold him fully responsible for his behavior and decisions. Almost a thousand years before the world was almost destroyed by war and natural disasters. Then someone came from space claiming to be God, accompanied by immortal followers who said that they had lived on Earth before. The planet and mankind recovered, and people everywhere prospered. Even the poorest lived in plenty. Now Paul was becoming a citizen, thus is set the stage for this new novel. This is the first in a series of three novels exploring what it would be like to live in the time of peace and plenty that takes place after the Battle of Armageddon. Many today think of Armageddon as a metaphor for the end of the world and time. A closer reading of Bible prophecy does not show that. Armageddon is the end of one age of human history and the start of a new age. The story of Paul Watanabe is set during the tenth century of an era that rose out of a time of social and natural disasters. The King of the World, Lord Emmanuel, says He is the Creator God. There is only one religion and one ruler. The King proclaims Himself to be God and He has a race of immortal beings to back Him up. People were free as long as they submitted to the rule of the King. Those who opposed the King are dealt with in rapid order. Very few people opposed Him; after all, everyone had work and a place to live. No one went hungry. Surely this is paradise. Isn't it?
