Kidney Transplant is the most commonly performed organ transplant all over the world. There are many special Health Issues of routine life that people with a kidney transplant must be aware of in order to protect their graft to enhance their Quality of life as well as the functioning and longevity of the transplanted kidney. There are many misconceptions and important facts that must be known by the recipients and their carers. This guide explains the causes, prevention, precautionary measures that can detect kidney failure at an early & treatable stage to avoid a transplant besides a detailed information of medical and psychological factors that play a crucial role in influecning the health outcomes and quality of life after having a kidney transplant. This guide can help and facilitate the recipients to know and understand when, how and what they need to do to improve their transplant functioning that enables them to live a life that is meaningful & enjoyable.

Research efforts to explore the etiological factors in Schizophrenia have identified the influence of season. Winter season appears to be associated with incidence of schizophrenia, it has been suggested that there is an excess of winter births among schizophrenic patients. There is need to explore the underlying mechanisms for excessive winter births among schizophrenic patients. A survey was carried out to find out the phenomenon of seaonality and its impact on schizophrenic incidence and it was found that majority of schizophrenic patients were born in winter season, thus suggesting a role of seasonality as a cuasal or precipitating factor in schizophrenia.

Quality if Life (QoL) after solid organ transplant is investigated to explore the possible medical and psychosocial factors influencing health outcomes. The present study aimed to investigate the psychosocial predictors of satisfaction with QoL among renal transplant recipients (RTRs) after a successful kidney transplant with healthy graft functioning. In this study we focus on a range of psychosocial factors as predictors of QoL after kidney transplant and evaluate recipients' satisfaction with four major domains of life, including; physical health functioning, psychological and spiritual well-being, social, economic and family life. These predictors include family & social support, financial status, medical facilities, and attitude of doctors, faith, will power, education, awareness / insight, marital status, personality type, compliance, acceptance, medication side-effects, and belief system. The aim is to deveop awareness about causes, symptoms and complications of kidney disease and transplantation focusing on psychosocial issues that can influence health outcomes after kidney transplant.
