This book provides systematic comparative research of antifraud
laws and context at EU countries using a Artificial Neural Network
(ANN) model to predict illegal activities in ERDF and CF. It also
details a map of corruption risk with the goal of reducing
corruption and fraud in the management of European Regional
Development Funds and Cohesion Funds through the incorporation of
adequate measures and strategies derived from the resulting of
EUMODFRAUD EU Project. The authors analyse the specific situations,
observe the risks and finally, propose an innovative method that
allows predicting fraudulent acts, which will be of interest to
both academics, researchers, and policy makers in financial
services, public finance, and financial crime.
Human Factors in Intelligent Vehicles addresses issues related to
the analysis of human factors in the design and evaluation of
intelligent vehicles for a wide spectrum of applications and over
different dimensions. To commemorate the 8th anniversary of the
IEEE ITS Workshop on Human Factors (http://hfiv.net) some recent
works of authors active in the automotive human factors community
have been collected in this book. Enclosed here are extended
versions of papers and tutorials that were presented at the IEEE
ITSS Workshop on "Human Factors in Intelligent Vehicles" and also
included is additional deeper analysis along with detailed
experimental and simulation results. The contributors cover
autonomous vehicles as well as the frameworks for analyzing
automation, modelling and methods for road users' interaction such
as intelligent user interfaces, including brain-computer interfaces
and simulation and analysis tools related to human factors.
Increases in computer power and technology have rapidly advanced
the applications of numerical modeling in environmental and earth
sciences. The progress of numerical modeling in atmospheric,
oceanic, and geophysical sciences was the topic of an international
conference held by the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
The review articles and research papers in this volume constitute a
wide-ranging and up-to-date account of modeling environmental and
earth processes through a variety of numerical simulations.
Sections are devoted to such topics as General Circulation Models
and global change, methods of geophysical data assimilation, and
mathematical and computational methods with geophysical
applications. This book forms an excellent introduction and
overview for graduate students as well as a critical update for
researchers.
Advances in molecular biology have enabled leaps forward in the
determination of virus phylogenetic history. This detailed 1995
book results from the invitation to foremost experts to give essays
on aspects of virus biology. Initial chapters cover impacts of
viruses and their control. Further chapters detail genetic
variation of viruses and the molecular basis of interrelations with
hosts. This leads to discussions of interactions with the host at
the population level, and their molecular basis and evolution.
Seventeen chapters follow, by specialists on particular groups of
viruses describing their impact, genetic origins, sources of
variation, population genetics and interactions with hosts.
Practical virologists will find the chapters on phylogenetic
analysis techniques very useful. The adaptive nature of viruses
makes this work highly relevant to evolutionists.
This book presents abundant emergent research works of American,
European and Latin American countries, and examine the results of
the research, which include serious questioning of the most popular
ideas about the theory of parenting styles proposed by Diana
Baumrind. Following traditional parenting research approaches that
examine how parents treat their children and how these children fit
into society, the fourteen chapters of this book explore the
various countries of North and South America (United States, Brazil
and Peru) and Europe (Sweden, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal,
Slovenia, and the Czech Republic), and sampled people from various
backgrounds (for example, adolescents at psychosocial risks, and
elderly people), for determining who has the best parenting style.
The authors' consider different measures of parental behaviour for
different parenting styles (authoritative, indulgent,
authoritarian, or neglectful) and a varied set of criteria to
determine how their children adjust. Childhood health and
well-being outcomes were as varied as academic achievement,
self-esteem, drug use, internalisation of values, forgiveness,
adolescents' scholar adjustment, child-to-parent violence and teen
dating violence. The contributors of this book conclude that
indulgent parenting styles are equal or even better than
authoritative parenting styles, and highlight the importance of
considering cultural influences when the relationships between
parenting and its impact on the well-being of children are
analysed.

transacciones internacionales. Dicta clases de Ingles.
