A collection of operas recorded live at the Vienna State Opera. Riccardo Muti is the conductor for a 1999 performance of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni', with a cast including Franz-Joseph Selig, Michael Schade, Adrianne Pieczonka, Carlos Álvarez, Angelika Kirchschlager, Anna Caterina Antonacci and Lorenzo Regazzo. Thomas Hampson, Christina Gallardo-Domas and Ferruccio Furlanetto head the cast of Verdi's opera 'Simon Boccanegra', recorded in 2002 with Daniele Gatti conducting. Finally, Philippe Jordan is the conductor for a 2005 performance of Massenet's opera 'Werther', featuring Marcelo Álvarez, Elina Garanca, Adrian Eröd and Ileana Tonca.

Placido Domingo is joined by Mariana Polavskaya, Joseph Calleja, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Jonathan Summers and Lukas Jakobski for this Royal Opera House production of Verdi's opera. Antonio Pappano conducts the Royal Opera House Orchestra and Chorus; Elijah Moskinsky directs.
