My book entitled A Spiritual Awakening is basically just that. It's spiritual and it tells of my many struggles, up, and downs. How I overcame them. This book of poems are encouraging, and movational. For anyone that has gone through some things with family, a love one, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend It makes for a good read. It tells of my relationship I developed with God and how he keeps me grounded. Through his love I discovered that I actually had this amazing gift to write poetry. I didn't even discover I had this gift until about ten years ago. That's another book or another story. I wrote my first poem about ten years ago. I know that there's a lot of hurting, wounded and depressed people. I know what it's like to feel hopeless, and helpless as if there is no one to turn to or no way out . I found out that really just isn't true. There is always someone somewhere who can relate. Someone that has been there and has experienced the same thing. I'm hoping and praying all those who purchase this book will have a new out look and a new meaning on Life, God, love, and relationships. The characters in my book are myself, God, friends, and friends of friends, Mothers, Fathers, love ones that have passed away. My book of poems touches on todays' current issues and events. It touches on past events History, this country and people of all colors, from all walks of life, and all ages. It is real and from the heart. It makes for an easy read. I'm hoping to inspire, encourage people of all ages and all walks of life for anyone that is going through something or has been through something. I write a lot about God but I wont say that I'm so religious I will say that I'm very spiritual and I do pray and believe in God. This book of poems is not about religion. I choose to believe in a higher power that I just so happen to acknowledge him as God, Jesus, Father and the Lord. To me they are all one and the same. It was he who has blessed me with this gift.
