In Walt Disney's 25th animated feature, Taran is a young man who undertakes a heroic task in the magical and mystical land of Prydain. He sets out on his quest to prevent the evil Horned King unleashing the supernatural powers of the Black Cauldron on the people of Prydain. All he has is his magic sword and his travelling companions (the beautiful Princess Eilonwy, Gurgi the funny, furry creature and a clairvoyant pig) in the race to find the Black Cauldron first.

Set in the 6th Century this is the tale of murder, greed, passion and revenge in Scotland and Denmark. The Royal throne has been taken over by the King's brother, after the King's murder. But the murder was witnessed by the younger brother, who plots his revenge by faking madness and trying to reveal the truth through the 'play within a play'.

Drama directed by Bill Douglas telling the story of the 'Tolpuddle Martyrs'. Having been arrested in England for campaigning for fairer wages and forming one of the first trade unions, a group of six farm workers from Dorset are sentenced to be transported to Australia in 1834 for seven years. Cameo appearances include Vanessa Redgrave, James Fox, Michael Hordern, Murray Melvin and Freddie Jones.
