Five-volume set of music documentaries by renowned film-maker Bruno
Monsaingeon. The collection includes five features, filmed between
1989 and 2015, about Russian pianist Sviatoslav Richter and
conductor Gennadi Rozhdestvensky. Three concerts are also featured
including Richter performing Mozart's Piano Concerto K271 in E Flat
Major in 1966.
Bruno Monsaingeon directs this profile of violinist David Oistrakh,
who died in 1974. Oistrakh was a leading proponent of the Russian
school, and his work is recalled here by friends and colleagues
including Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich.
This collection of performances by Russian conductor Gennady
Rozhdestvensky features pieces by Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov, and
