Peter Greenaway's surreal story has twin brothers (Brian and Eric Deacon), both zoologists, re-examining the meaning of life after a car accident involving a swan claims the lives of their wives. They study the decomposition of several animals with time-lapse photography, plot to liberate zoo animals, and begin a menage-a-trois with the one-legged woman who survived the crash.

Jo (Katy Manning) and the Doctor (Jon Pertwee) have been sent on a mission by the Time Lords to deliver a package to a recipient on the planet Solos. Arriving on a nearby space station, the Doctor becomes involved in the planet's struggle to gain its independence from Earth's colonial powers. But the current colonial leader, a man known only as the Marshal, is not keen to give up control, and is planning to bomb the inhabitants out of existence.

In 'The Sea Devils' (1972), after visiting their old enemy the Master (Roger Delgado) in his remote island prison, the Doctor (Pertwee) and Jo learn of several recent accidents at sea, all of which have been accompanied by reported sightings of strange monsters. The Doctor discovers that the creatures responsible are the Sea Devils, acquatic cousins of the Silurians who are out to reclaim the planet Earth from mankind. In 'Warriors of the Deep' (1983), The Doctor (Peter Davison), Tegan and Turlough arrive at an underwater base on an Earth in the future on the brink of Atomic War. Helping to trigger this war are the planet's original inhabitants, the Silurians and the Sea Devils, aided by their killer pantomime horse, the Myrka.

Ken Loach's television play, made for the BBC's Wednesday Play series, is probably the most famous British television play ever, watched by a quarter of the population both on its first broadcast in November 1966 and on its repeat in January 1967. Carol White stars as the bright young bride Cathy, who is driven to despair by the social and economic forces pitted against her as she struggles to keep her children in a housing system that is constantly working against her. Loach used voice-overs of actual people caught up in the system and managed to get the unfairness of the system into the debating arena at the time.

This creature turns out to be Stig (Robert Tannion), a caveman who is hundreds of thousands of years old. Gradually he and Barney learn to communicate with other. Together they forage through the rubbish dump at the bottom of the quarry, using the things the villagers throw away to improve Stig's cave. So begins a very special friendship, and a tale which has charmed children and adults alike ever since it was first published in 1963.

'The Legacy of Reginald Perrin' catches up with the characters from the series years later as they are forced to perform silly acts in order to benefit financially from Reggie's will.
