John Ford directs this US Western starring James Stewart as a marshal of a small town in the 1880s. Marshal Guthrie McCabe (Stewart) doesn't do much to earn his badge preferring to take money for illicit dealings. That changes when he is persuaded by First Lt. Jim Gary (Richard Widmark) to rescue a group of white people who were kidnapped by the Comanche Indians. However, when they do finally rescue two of the prisoners and bring them back to the town it seems they are less than welcome.

James Stewart plays a vengeful cow-herder who arrives in New Mexico determined to find the man who was responsible for the killing of his brother. His brother was shot down by Apaches armed with automatic rifles, and Stewart is looking for the man who sold them to the Indians. Following 'Winchester 73', 'Bend in the River', 'The Naked Spur' and 'The Far Country', this was the last of the five classic westerns Stewart made with director Anthony Mann.

Rita Hayworth stars in this 1940s musical directed by Victor Saville. Set in Britain during World War II, the film follows a theatre group who never fail to put on a show despite the ongoing Blitz, much to the delight of their audience. Meanwhile behind the scenes, one of the performers, American Rosalind Bruce (Hayworth), falls for RAF pilot Paul Lundy (Lee Bowman).
