A collection of short memoirs, The Light of Common day, represents an older working man's observations of urban life within the somewhat dog eared gambling city of Reno Nevada. These short memoirs, composed between 2007 & 2010, are written in a lyrical, first person prose style and are direct observational and non political in nature. The city's core, its surrounding high desert environment, and the lives of the working poor are described, including intricate details of the sometimes boisterous, other times quiet, often cruel urban streets. Also included in this collection are two memoirs describing several significant life events from author's youth.
