Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made
available for future generations to enjoy.
Volume 1 of 2. One of the purposes of this series of lectures is to
display the true design and tendency of the Order of Freemasonry.
True Freemasonry forms no part of the national religion, although
it does teach the genuine principles of Christianity. Because of
this fact, Freemasonry is often vilified and objected to. These
detractors generally intend to show that Freemasonry's pursuits are
inconsistent, frivolous and useless. Another purpose of this work
is to rebut such absurd charges and set the record straight.
