Die Literatur uber Fragen der Kostenrechnung ist sehr umfangreich, sie reicht vom dickleibigen Kompendium uber theoretische Probleme bis zur Fulle der Zeitschriftenaufsatze uber Einzelfragen aus der Praxis. Warum also trotzdem noch ein neues Buch? Die Masse der vorhandenen Literatur wendet sich entweder an den Grossbetrieb mit seinem differenzierten Rechnungswesen und seinen qualifizierten Spezia listen oder versucht, fur den Klein-und Mittelbetrieb anhand branchengebun dener Beispiele ein Kostenrechnungsmuster darzustellen. Mit dem Grossbetrieb haben wir uns hier nicht zu beschaftigen. Der Klein-und Mittelbetrieb jedoch kann mit der fur ihn bestimmten Literatur in der Praxis oft wenig anfangen. Dies hat zwei Grunde: 1. Die Kostenrechnung ist vollig betriebsindividuell, niemals konnen zwei Sy steme der Kostenrechnung einander vollig gleichen, auch nicht in Betrieben der gleichen Branche und der gleichen Grosse, weil die Betriebe selbst in ihrem Aufbau vollig unterschiedlich sind. Ein Kostenrechnungssystem ist kein Kon tenrahmen, der unschwer zu einem betriebsindividuellen Kontenplan erwei tert werden kann. Deshalb ist es fast nie moglich, das fur einen Betrieb pas sende System einem Lehrbuch zu entnehmen. 2. Die vorhandene Literatur beschrankt sich meist darauf, Systeme der Kosten rechnung fur verschiedene Betriebstypen, Betriebsgrossen und Branchen zu entwickeln, sie gibt jedoch zuwenig Anleitung zur praktischen Durchfuhrung der Kostenrechnung. Selbst wenn ein Betrieb im Ausnahmefall in einem Lehr buch ein fur ihn vollkommen passendes System fande, fehlte immer noch eine Anleitung, dieses System auch anzuwenden und durchzufuhren. Der Verfasser hat in seiner jahrelangen Tatigkeit als Betriebsberater diese bei den Tatsachen in Klein-und Mittelbetrieben immer wieder bestatigt gefunden."
