original AandM recording of "The Age of Steam" as well as a DVD
with over four hours of content, including: a master class * a
documentary * a Dolby Digital stereo and surround sound mix of the
original recordings * and interviews with several participants in
that recording (Bob Brookmeyer, Roger Kellaway, Tom Scott and
Stephan Goldman). The DVD also includes the sheet music for each
composition on the recording, including the parts for each
instrument, which can be printed out from a PC.
This 20-bit remastered release presents in chronological order all the master takes originally issued by the classic Gerry Mulligan piano-less quartet featuring Chet Baker on trumpet plus six rare studio performances for the GNP label.
