This book constitutes revised selected papers from the 15th International Conference on Informatics in Economy, IE 2016, held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in June 2016. The 10 full papers and 4 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 31 extended paper submissions for this book. They are organized in sections on Distributed Systems, Information Systems Adoption, Knowledge Representation and Processing, Domain-specific Data Analysis, and Computational Models. This volume is a collection of papers on emerging concepts, significant insights, and novel approaches on information systems development (ISD). It examines and investigates up-and-coming trends in ISD in general, emphasizing benefits and risks of Artificial Intelligence in the development and operation of Information Systems.
