One day, his dad fell sick, and Stan was led to the forest without his father by wise Fern. It was during this adventure that their friendship was sealed. This novelette is about being able to smile at our adult selves, when one becomes acquainted with diverse ways of life and a multitude of acts that may seem not a norm to ones eyes. Welcome to the world of different cultures, where one soul, named Tausi (Swahili word for a Peacock) was exposed to varied cultural practices, both in her homeland in Africa and equally when she travelled abroad to the western world. These exposures made her to question what was right or wrong, blossoming her to an enlightened and colourfully plumaged bird.

I have always deeply wished to write a book for children. Then I learned of diamond poems, which are poems with two contrasting ideas, with a linking middle sentence, that changes from first to second idea using nouns. An idea struck my mind. I shall write a book intended to help children of all ages to build their vocabulary using these poems. A second idea reeled in. The book will include illustrations from diverse number of children. Then I had a dream, that this book would raise money to help a school in my hometown Korogwe. Then followed a second dream, that one day this book would be accessible to all school children in my native country Tanzania. In a few weeks time, this book came about. I had much fun revisiting my inner child during this journey. An added blessing was to have shared it with a bunch of creative kids whose work is portrayed here too.
