The book then describes an oversampling-based oscillator capable of generating high-precision analog tones using a combination of digital logic and D/A conversion. Experimental results are presented to verify the ideas in each chapter and finally, conclusions are drawn. For those readers unfamiliar with delta-sigma modulation techniques, a brief introduction to this subject is also provided in an appendix. SPICE has become the industry standard software for computer-aided circuit analysis for microelectronic circuits. SPICE is an acronym which stands for Simulation Program with Ingegrated Circuit Emphasis. It is fair to say that in order to master IC design, one must also develop a fair amount of expertise in a circuit analysis program such as SPICE. This book has been developed with the aim of describing how SPICE is used to analyse microelectronic circuits and also to outline how SPICE is used in the design process itself. This second edition of SPICE by Robers and Sedra is a very effective tutorial text or manual on computer-aided circuit analysis. It is also an ideal companion or supplement text to Sedra and Smith's Microelectronic Circuits, (now in its third edition) as every chapter in SPICE 2/e has examples that are keyed to examples in this main text. The end of chapter problems are carefully chosen and the subjects are developed in a clear manner, written at a level just right for undergraduate students. This manual is well organized and concise, making it an excellent supplement to Sedra's main text or as a general back-up to any students getting to grips with SPICE.
