Vorwort Von psychischem Trauma war lange Zeit uberhaupt nicht die Rede. Schlagt man Lehrbucher aus Fachdisziplinen wie Psychiatrie, Klinische Psychologie, Sozi- arbeit, Kinderpsychiatrie, Heilpadagogik oder Psychotherapie auf, die vor 1998 erschienen sind, dann taucht "Trauma" oft nicht einmal im Sachregister auf. Praktiker dieser Disziplinen sind demgegenuber taglich mit den Folgen trau- tischer Erfahrungen ihrer Klienten/Patienten konfrontiert. Weshalb fanden diese Erfahrungen keinen Eingang in den wissenschaft- chen Diskurs? Die Antwort liegt nahe, dass Wissenschaftler dieser Disziplinen bis hin zu den Psychotherapeuten, den gleichen Abwehrmechanismen gegen Trauma unterliegen wie die Bevoelkerung im allgemeinen, vor allem dem - chanismus der Opferbeschuldigung: selber schuld. Weshalb ging das Opfer einer Vergewaltigung gerade um diese Uhrzeit diesen Weg entlang? War das nicht vorherzusehen? Sind Opfer nicht auch generell mit verantwortlich oder zum- dest doch mitbeteiligt, an dem was ihnen angetan wurde? Sind sie nicht Teil eines sog. "Tater-Opfer-Systems"? So irrational die "Loesung" der Operbeschuldigung, die blaming-the-vict- solution auch ist, so fest scheint sie im magischen Denken derer verankert zu sein, die nicht betroffen sind, bisweilen sogar im magischen Denken der Opfer selbst. Von daher ist kaum verwunderlich, dass auch der wissenschaftliche D- kurs von der blaming-the-victim-solution gepraft war und oft noch ist. Wenn Traumatisierung nicht uberhaupt ignoriert wird, dann muss das Opfer irgendwie doch mitverantwortlich sein oder - wie in der Psychoanalyse - das Trauma schon aus der fruhen Kindheit stammen und/oder ihm eine problematische P- soenlichkeitsstruktur zugrunde liegen.
