A night at the opera featuring singers including Juliane Banse, Grace Bumbry, Vesselina Kasarova and Angelika Kirchschlager, performing a mixture of arias from famous operas such as 'Le Nozze di Figaro', 'Don Giovanni', 'Tosca', 'Turandot' and 'Fledermaus' under the baton of Kent Nagano.

A veritable Who's Who of European opera singers is assembled for this spectacular night of song, BERLIN OPERA NIGHT. The divergent yet always gorgeous vocal stylings of dramatic divas including Grace Bumbry, Vesselina Kasarova, Angelike Kirchschlager, and Adrianne Pieczonka are awe-inspiring. The male singers are no less impressive, and include Rene Pape, Charles Castronovo, and Salvatore Licitra. Award-winning conductor Kent Nagano waves the baton over the marvelous affair, leading the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin in classic arias from TOSCA, TURANDOT, DON GIOVANNI, and many others.

Carlo Maria Giulini conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus in a performance of Verdi's 'Messa da Requiem'. The soloists are Ilva Ligabue, Grace Bumbry, Sandor Konya and Raffaele Arie.
