An affair between actress Selena and writer Léonard is nearly discovered among their close friends in Léonard’s thinly veiled autobiographical novel. Fortunately for them, Alain, both Selena’s husband and Léonard’s publisher, rejects the book and remains seemingly oblivious to the whole ordeal, maybe because he’s having his own affair as well! But eventually, the group must confront their double lives in a comedy of art, affairs and midlife crises. From director Olivier Assayas (Personal Shopper, Clouds of Sils Maria) Non-Fiction paints a hilarious and sprightly portrait of high class people with low class values.
Clive Owen and Billy Crudup star in this drama written and directed by Guillaume Canet. When criminal Chris (Owen) is released on good behaviour after serving several years in prison for murder, his brother Frank (Crudup), a promising young policeman, apprehensively meets him at the gate. Agreeing to help him back to a life of normality, Frank sorts out his brother with a job, a home and even helps him get in contact with his children and estranged ex-wife. After all his help Chris refuses to change and falls back into a life of crime, much to the dismay of his caring brother and father (James Caan).
Keira Knightley stars as a woman whose marriage vows are put to the test in this drama from first-time director Massy Tadjedin. Seeming to share an idyllic life with her husband, Michael (Sam Worthington), in Manhattan, writer Joanna (Knightley) fears the worst when he heads off on an overnight business trip with his seductive colleague, Laura (Eva Mendes). As Laura sets her sights on taking their relationship to a new level, Michael tries to resist temptation, unaware that, back home, Joanna has run into her former Gallic lover, Alex (Guillaume Canet).
Upon arriving in Bangkok, American backpacker Richard (Leonardo DiCaprio) is given a map by Daffy (Robert Carlyle), a drug-addicted Scot, which shows him the route to an idyllic island. Richard teams up with French couple Francoise (Virginie Ledoyen) and Etienne (Guillaume Canet) to make his way to the island, braving various dangers en route. The trio eventually reach their goal and discover a community of western travellers living on a paradise-like stretch of beach. Richard soon makes himself at home, embarking on a relationship with Francoise, but his new-found Eden proves to have hidden dangers when community leader Sal (Tilda Swinton) also becomes enamoured of him.
Drama set during World War I. When the war machines began rolling in the summer of 1914, the devastation that it waged upon German, British, and French troops was palpable. But as the winter winds began to blow and the soldiers sat huddled in their trenches awaiting the generous Christmas care packages sent by the families, the sounds of warfare took a momentary backseat to the yearning for brotherhood among all of mankind. It is here that the fate of a French lieutenant, a Scottish priest, a German tenor, and a Danish soprano's lives were about to be changed forever.
Ben Foster and Chris O'Dowd star in this sports drama about the Lance Armstrong doping scandal which was the subject of David Walsh's book 'Seven Deadly Sins'. Irish sports journalist David Walsh (O'Dowd) grows suspicious of professional cyclist Lance Armstrong (Foster)'s success, certain that he has been taking performance-enhancing drugs. As Walsh investigates, looking for evidence to prove his theory, Armstrong continues to deny his consumption of banned substances. The cast also includes Lee Pace, Dustin Hoffman and Guillaume Canet.
