Dieses Buch stellt die wesentlichen hydrologischen Prozesse in Fluss- bzw. Seeeinzugsgebieten vor. Dazu werden Modelle und Modellbausteine beschrieben. Deren Anwendung geschieht beispielhaft auf verschiedenen raumlichen und zeitlichen Skalen. Ausgehend von diesen Konzepten werden fur einzelne Fragestellungen aus dem wasserwirtschaftlichen und gewasseroekologischen Kontext (z. B. Hoch- und Niedrigwasser, Uferfiltration, Seenmanagement) Loesungen entwickelt. Besondere Schwerpunkte bilden hierbei die Hydrologie des unterirdischen Wassers und die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Grund- und Oberflachengewassern.
