This book is based on the extensive cruising of the author as a
guest of the cruise lines. It describes how he got started
lecturing on cruise ships and describes the cruises that he and his
wife have taken as a lecturer. It explains how anybody can apply to
be a lecturer and describes the qualifications necessary for their
acceptance. He compares the advantages and disadvantages of
traveling as a lecturer on cruise ships. He points out that this is
not for everybody, although it can be very enjoyable for a person
who enjoys teaching and spending days on a ship at sea. It provides
the amenities of living in a five-star resort and eating in
five-star restaurants while traveling to far distant places and
visiting foreign ports. It has the additional advantage of
unpacking only once during the entire trip. Although continuous
entertainment is provided onboard, perhaps the most enjoyable
feature is the opportunity to meet and talk to many people from all
over the world, thus broadening your outlook on life.
