Die Anfangerubungen in der Universitatsausbildung sind - als Voraussetzung fur die Zulassung zu den UEbungen fur Fortgeschrittene - nach wie vor an zahlreichen Universitaten wichtige Ausbildungsabschnitte. An den Universitaten, die die Anfangerubungen abgeschafft haben, verlagert sich das Schwergewicht automatisch auf die UEbungen fur Fortgeschrittene. Gleichwohl halt sich der "Examensdruck" in den UEbungen in einem ertraglichen Mass, da die UEbungen bis zum erfolgreichen Abschluss wiederholt werden konnten und koennen. Mit Einfuhrung der Zwischenprufung hat sich die Ausbildungslage entscheidend geandert. Der Misserfolg in einer Zwischenprufungsklausur kann - auch wenn eine Wiederholungsmoeglichkeit besteht - schnell zum abrupten Ende des juristischen Studiums fuhren. Wichtig ist es daher, dass der Student sich rechtzeitig Kenntnisse daruber verschafft, was in den einzelnen Prufungsleistungen von ihm erwartet wird. Neben dem erforderlichen Wissen ist aber die UEbung im praktischen Umgang mit Prufungsfallen von besonderer Bedeutung. Da die ersten Leistungen der Zwischenprufung schon sehr fruh im Studium verlangt werden, besteht ein Bedurfnis nach konzentrierter Information. Diese Information will das Sonderheft bieten, und zwar als methodische Hilfestellung. By presenting and debating current solutions to problems in jurisprudence and legal teaching, it offers the reader the opportunity to comprehend the evolution of assumed premises in General Criminal Law Teaching. The scope has been extended since the previous edition. This expansion was required on the one hand due to the adoption of new questions and on the other hand due to the emerging clarification, specification and modifications of known problem constellations that arose in the ongoing debate. This basic course offers a systematic introduction to criminal law. This concerns the problems of singular offences pertaining to the special section of the German criminal code. The protective scope of the individual legal interests and the various forms of attack constitute the main emphasis in this regard. The singular offence groups will be absorbed depending on their relevance for training and practice. The basic course has once again been thoroughly revised and updated in the new edition; adjudication and literature have also been brought up to date. The proven manner of presentation - in which the reader is inspired to active collaboration - has been retained. The objectives of the basic course are to refer the reader to essential problems and their solution possibilities, to practice the independent debate with regard to criminal law problems, and to demonstrate methods for further engrossment.

It is divided into three sections: The criminal law exercises within the scope of legal training will be adopted in the first section. In addition, general methodical principals of case handling as well as the special features to be observed in the course of exams and homework will also be presented. In the second section the "how" of solving cases will be made obvious through the structural schematics of the various types of offences. Then in the third section the practical assimilation follows with the help of ten exams and two homework assignments which are taken from the respective training sections: Beginner exercises, advanced exercises and first state examinations. They will be prepared through tips pertaining to the structure of solution outlines, and thereafter completely and comprehensively solved. More extensive tips are provided at the end for follow-up review and engrossment with regard to the respective emphases.
