Many Jesus followers are sleepwalking through their Christian lives. They wear a smile, attend church gatherings, and try their best to make it through, but they don’t really expect answered prayers, breakthroughs, or a miraculous change in their situations. Why? Disappointment and disillusionment. The Bible calls this “hope deferred.” What we hoped for did not happen, and we are left with hopes and dreams that are dead.
But remember: we serve the God of resurrection life and revival!
Robert Henderson is the bestselling author of the Courts of Heaven series, and in this latest book he challenges you to pray for miracle reversals in every situation that seems hopeless. Resurrection thunders as a verdict from the Courts of Heaven, for it is God alone who gives life to the dead.
This powerful new book will show you how to:
- Discover the Seven Secrets to seeing dead things revived in your life
- Identify the spirit of sabotage in your life - and cancel its influence
- Make Lazarus Decrees over those situations that Jesus wants to resurrect and revive
- Dismantle the spirit of death—and stop it from impacting every area of your life
- Receive stirring biblical examples of resurrection power released into impossible situations
- Break off the pain of disappointment and position yourself for answered prayer
Resurrection is not a one-time event; it should be the default setting of the Christian life. We are filled with Jesus’ resurrection life and power! We have been commissioned by the resurrected Jesus to see His supernatural miracle power reverse any plan of the enemy that has sought to steal, kill, and destroy.
Sharon Maguire directs this third instalment of the romantic comedy
series based on the characters created by Helen Fielding. Renée
Zellweger reprises her role as Bridget Jones, the quirky
forty-something who is learning to embrace adulthood. Following her
break up with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), Bridget decides to focus on her
career as a top news producer while also attempting to enjoy the single
life with friends.
Her love life takes another turn when she meets suave American Jack
Qwant (Patrick Dempsey), who helps her out after getting into a spot of
bother at a music festival. With a new relationship flourishing and
everything seemingly under control, it's not long before there's a
hitch - she discovers she's pregnant. Unsure if the father is long-term
love interest Darcy, or newcomer Qwant, Bridget is yet again faced with
making some awkward and ultimately life-changing decisions.
The cast also includes Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson and Emma
Thompson.

Ernest Starling (1866-1927) was pre-eminent in the golden age of
British Physiology. His name is usually associated with his ???Law
of the Heart, ??? but his discovery of secretin (the first hormone
whose mode of action was explained) and his work on capillaries
were more important contributions. He coined the word 'hormone' one
hundred years ago. His analysis of capillary function demonstrated
that equal and opposite forces move across the capillary wall--an
outward (hydrostatic) force and an inward (osmotic) force derived
from plasma proteins.
Starling??'s contributions include:
*Developing the "Frank-Starling Law of the Heart," presented in
1915 and modified in 1919.
*The Starling equation, describing fluid shifts in the body (1896)
*The discovery of secretin, the first hormone, with Bayliss (1902)
and the introduction of the concept of hormones (1905).
This visual history of the 20th centuryas middle decades in Santa
Paula illustrates how a rural city settled into its middle age. As
a sequel to Images of America: Santa Paula, which covered the
pioneering and settlement years of 1870 to 1930, it continues this
Ventura County cityas story through the Depression decade and the
World War II and Korean War home front years that led up to the
sixties. The time from 1930 to 1960 was prosperous for the two main
industries in Santa Paula and its environs: citrus cultivation and
oil production. The population increases reflected the job
opportunities that these industries presented, bringing other
families, businesses, and opportunities to the growing city.
The doctrine of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) now enjoys
widespread support. Companies are enjoined not simply to seek
profit but to demonstrate their 'corporate citizenship' by working
with a range of stakeholders to further environmental and social as
well as economic goals. Pressures for such behaviour have come from
NGOs but have been taken up by academics, other commentators and
multinational enterprises themselves. David Henderson examines the
CSR doctrine, subjecting it to fundamental ciriticisms. In this
controversial text he argues that, far from being harmless, its
adoption threatens prosperity in poor countries as well as rich. It
is likely to reduce competition and economic freedom and to
undermine the market economy.
Win. Lose. Survive. I was the boy with a plan. Now I am the boy
with nothing. From the moment 12-year-old Kylan hatches a plan to
escape from his Norse captors, and return to Scotland to find his
mother, his life becomes a dangerous game. The precious Lewis
Chessmen-which he helped carve-hold the key to his freedom, but he
will need all his courage and wit to triumph against Sven
Asleifsson, the cruellest Viking in the realm. One false move could
cost him his life. Barbara Henderson has woven a thrilling origin
story around the enduring mystery of the Lewis Chessmen, their
creation in Norway, and how they ended up buried in the Hebrides
before being discovered on Lewis in 1831.

to tell the story of one boy's role in the building of the iconic
Forth Rail Bridge-Scotland's greatest man-made wonder-in 1889. When
12-year-old John Nicol gets a job at the Forth Bridge construction
site, he knows it's dangerous. Four boys have already fallen from
the bridge into the Forth below. But John has no choice-with his

terrified of heights. John finds comfort in the new Carnegie
library, his friend Cora and his squirrel companion, Rusty. But
when he is sent to work in Cain Murdoch's Rivet Gang, John must
find the courage to climb, to face his fears, and to stand up to
his evil boss.

Chris Rock presents this documentary offering an insight into the
fiercely competitive world of Afro-American hairdressing. The film
includes a visit to the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show,
the annual trade show for the African-American hair care industry.
It also looks into the dangers of many common hair-straightening
treatments, reveals the alarmingly high cost of regular hair
'relaxing' and weaves, and asks what the ongoing pursuit of
straight hair says about African-American cultural identity.
