The complete series 1-3 of the blackly comic drama starring Bryan Cranston as a high school chemistry teacher who discovers that he is dying from inoperable lung cancer and decides to raise money for his family by embarking on a new career as a crystal meth dealer.
Season 1
Bryan Cranston gives an Emmy Award-winning performance as Walter White, a down-on-his-luck chemistry teacher struggling to make ends meet for his wife and physically challenged son. Everything changes when Walter receives a startling diagnosis: terminal lung cancer. With only a few years to live and nothing to lose, Walter uses his training as a chemist to cook and sell crystal meth with one of his former students. As his status grows, so do his lies, but Walt will stop at nothing to make sure his family is taken care of after he’s gone, even if it means putting all their lives on the line.
Season 2
Season 2 finds Walt and Jesse in way over their heads. As their partnership reaches new heights, Walt and Jesse begin to see the extremes of the drug trafficking business. Their trademark blue meth is making them rich, but it’s getting more difficult than ever for Walt to conceal the truth from his wife Skyler, his son Walter Jr. and his DEA agent brother-in-law Hank. Walt struggles to maintain control of his life as he contends with vicious drug dealers, an increasingly distant wife and son, the impending birth of his daughter, and a strung-out business partner – all while battling terminal lung cancer.
Season 3
Even though his cancer is in remission, chemistry-teacher-turned-meth- maker Walt White still can’t catch a break. His wife has filed for divorce, his DEA agent brother-in-law is out to bust him and a Mexican cartel just wants him dead. But with his family’s future still at stake, Walt cooks up a deal that will make him a fortune, a scheme with a terrible price.
Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics, Third Edition is a clear and
detailed introduction to quantum mechanics and its applications in
chemistry and physics. All required math is clearly explained,
including intermediate steps in derivations, and concise review of
the math is included in the text at appropriate points. Most of the
elementary quantum mechanical models-including particles in boxes,
rigid rotor, harmonic oscillator, barrier penetration, hydrogen
atom-are clearly and completely presented. Applications of these
models to selected "real world" topics are also included. This new
edition includes many new topics such as band theory and heat
capacity of solids, spectroscopy of molecules and complexes
(including applications to ligand field theory), and small
molecules of astrophysical interest.
Few studies of globalization have analyzed its impact on African
societies from the viewpoint of sustainable development. This
volume answers that need. The essays here contribute to the store
of knowledge about globalization in sub-Saharan Africa by
documenting the affect of this global force on the continent's
growth -- economic, political, and cultural. This interdisciplinary
collection provides comprehensive analyses at the international,
national, and local levels of the theoretical issues revolving
around the complex process of globalization, while offering
detailed examinations of new models of economic development that
can be implemented in sub-Saharan Africa to enhance economic
growth, self-sufficiency, and sustainable development. These models
are accessible to politicians, public policy analysts, scholars,
students, international organizations, nongovernmental actors, and
members of the public at large. Finally, the essays here provide
insightful case studies of African countries that already
demonstrate creative, indigenous-based models of entrepreneurship
and discuss efforts to achieve sustainable development and economic
independence at the grassroots level. Contributors represent the
disciplines of law, history, political science, economics,
sociology, anthropology, business and management, African studies
and art history, criminal justice, and education. Bessie

Instant New York Times bestseller "Howard Zinn on acid or some
bullsh*t like that." -Tim Heidecker The creators of the cult-hit
podcast Chapo Trap House deliver a manifesto for everyone who feels
orphaned and alienated-politically, culturally, and economically-by
the lanyard-wearing Wall Street centrism of the left and the
lizard-brained atavism of the right: there is a better way, the
Chapo Way. In a guide that reads like "a weirder, smarter, and
deliciously meaner version of The Daily Show's 2004 America (The
Book)" (Paste), Chapo Trap House shows you that you don't have to
side with either sinking ships. These self-described "assholes from
the internet" offer a fully ironic ideology for all who feel
politically hopeless and prefer broadsides and tirades to reasoned
debate. Learn the "secret" history of the world, politics, media,
and everything in-between that THEY don't want you to know and
chart a course from our wretched present to a utopian future where
one can post in the morning, game in the afternoon, and podcast
after dinner without ever becoming a poster, gamer, or podcaster. A
book that's "as intellectually serious and analytically original as
it is irreverent and funny" (Glenn Greenwald, New York Times
bestselling author of No Place to Hide) The Chapo Guide to
Revolution features illustrated taxonomies of contemporary liberal
and conservative characters, biographies of important thought
leaders, "never before seen" drafts of Aaron Sorkin's Newsroom
manga, and the ten new laws that govern Chapo Year Zero (everyone
gets a dog, billionaires are turned into Soylent, and logic is
outlawed). If you're a fan of sacred cows, prisoners being taken,
and holds being barred, then this book is NOT for you. However, if
you feel disenfranchised from the political and cultural nightmare
we're in, then Chapo, let's go...
