Sometimes, friendships begun in childhood continue to give strength and power throughout lifetimes. Raised among the gentle trees and seeming security of the tiny, Midwestern town of Dodge, three friends shared a bond that was stronger than blood. Now, twenty years after the mysterious disappearance of a classmate, each of The Three discovers her friends have harbored secrets, and a haunting darkness threatens to destroy them. Sewn together with lyrics from the 60s and 70s, Hell Outta Dodge is a striking patchwork of heartbreak, laughter, suspense, and redemption.
Naked Me is an assortment of moving poems, lyrics, short stories about human growth and longing. Fay Campbell's forty-three offerings, many of which beg to be sung, are divided into four sections: "Fearless" explores the fears and silliness intrinsic to human life. "Dream Play" depicts several incursions into the subconscious. "Au Naturel" describes the author's life-long love affair with Nature. The final section, "Testosterone," places the reader inside the confidential thoughts and experiences of spirited women in their relationships with men.
What the public has known about assassination of Abraham Lincoln for nearly 150 years isn't history, but fiction, and an unsolved crime. In 1977, a document was discovered which revealed that no fewer than six Union spies had infiltrated associates of John Wilkes Booth months prior to his assassination of Abraham Lincoln. History writers since 1977 have failed to include the names, descriptions and roles of these secret agents, presumably because this information didn't seem to fit the prevailing understanding of the assassination. This document was created by the War Department in 1865, but was hidden from the conspirators' trial and the public, and was believed to be destroyed. It was just one of many pieces of evidence deliberately withheld to ensure Lincoln's assassination would appear to be the work of Confederate agents. To the contrary and before two years had passed, every alleged Confederate mastermind behind Booth (Davis, Johnson, Surratt) had been found by courts and Congress to have played no role in the deed. Yet the Confederate conspiracy theory prevailed. In this most important book, Don Thomas explodes the numerous myths that have been circulated since 1865, and concretely identifies the faction of Union government officials who engineered Lincoln's death and its cover-up. It can be known, for the first time, clearly, even in their own words, what made these men believe Abraham Lincoln had to die. This astonishing book reveals: The architects of Lincoln's assassination and their political motives How the Civil War was extended nearly a year in order to achieve a political goal Multiple Union agents within Booth's gang, including their names, descriptions and roles How the crime was covered up and the guilty parties protected Damning evidence other historians have overlooked or chosen to ignore.

A stirring and inspiring tale of survival, "A Mountain of Gold" is as memorable as it is educational. An aged diary is discovered in the mountains of North Georgia, USA. In it is revealed the life of a teenage boy and his experiences growing up in the 1840s in a wild land stolen from the local Indians. Changes in his life lead him into a very close relationship with Nature-so close he can no longer relate to civilized human beings. A Mountain of Gold was written for youth ages 12 and older, but has been received with highest praise from adult readers. The book is not only a great adventure, but inspires dialogue and reflection. It delivers lessons in history, ethics, biology, economics, and English vocabulary from an earlier age.
