ANNUL DOMINI: THE JESUS FACTOR by Ingrid Pitt Time-traveller Robin Firth is dispatched to Galilee on a mission, but all does not go according to plan. He wakes from his mental journey to find himself trapped in the body of the local madman, Haddaq, with only one thing on his mind - he must reach Jesus and save him from crucifixion... ANNUL DOMINI is the first in a series of previously unpublished books by the late 'Queen of Horror' Ingrid Pitt. An exciting science-fiction laced alternative look at the familiar passion story and the birth of Christianity. A thought provoking novel.
During World War II, seven Allied agents are selected to rescue an American general from the impenetrable German fortress Schloss Adler. In charge of the team is British Major Smith (Richard Burton), with American Lieutenant Schaffer (Clint Eastwood) as second in command. Parachuting into the enemy territory in German uniforms, the squad discover one of their number dead on arrival, and Smith suspects that he may have a traitor amongst his unit. Alistair Maclean wrote the screenplay and the film is reported to be amongst director Quentin Tarantino's favourites.
Double bill of BBC espionage drama mini-series based on the novels by John Le Carré and starring Alec Guinness as master spy George Smiley. In 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' (1979), Smiley has been in 'retirement' for some time, some say owing to his mishandling of the Czech scandal. However, the retiring superspy finds himself summoned back to the 'Circus' (British secret service) when it transpires that an enemy infiltrator is at work in the department. Smiley returns once again to his old department in 'Smiley's People' (1982) following the murder of his friend, General Vladimir, a Russian who once worked for British Intelligence. When it transpires that Vladimir was in fact a double agent, Smiley becomes engaged in a battle of wills with his old adversaries at the Moscow Centre.
A collection of classic Doctor Who episodes featuring Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee in the role of the Doctor. In the four-parter 'The Horns of Nimon', the Skonnon ships have returned to the skies of Aneth, demanding tribute. But as the final consignment is being taken to Skonnos, an accident forces the ship off course. In the six-parter 'The Time Monster', a new invention to transport matter through time creates a number of disturbing distortions in the temporal fabric. The Doctor (Jon Pertwee) investigates, and soon finds himself up against his nemesis, The Master, in a battle to control a powerful sacred crystal. In the four-parter 'Underworld', the TARDIS lands the Doctor (Tom Baker) in a Minyan spaceship that is on a quest to find the Minyan race banks stored in a missing ship known as the P7E. They eventually find what they are looking for in a cave system at the centre of a newly-formed planet. But the P7E's computer has ideas of its own, and doesn't look kindly upon its new visitors.
Three feature-length Doctor Who adventures. In 'Doctor Who and the Silurians' (1970), Jon Pertwee stars as the third Doctor, who is called to an atomic research station in Derbyshire to investigate a series of mysterious events. His questions uncover a vicious ring of in-house saboteurs and something a bit more slimy. In 'The Sea Devils' (1972), after visiting their old enemy the Master (Roger Delgado) in his remote island prison, the Doctor (Pertwee) and Jo learn of several recent accidents at sea, all of which have been accompanied by reported sightings of strange monsters. The Doctor discovers that the creatures responsible are the Sea Devils, acquatic cousins of the Silurians who are out to reclaim the planet Earth from mankind. In 'Warriors of the Deep' (1983), The Doctor (Peter Davison), Tegan and Turlough arrive at an underwater base on an Earth in the future on the brink of Atomic War. Helping to trigger this war are the planet's original inhabitants, the Silurians and the Sea Devils, aided by their killer pantomime horse, the Myrka.
Sumptuous period backdrops and a wildly melodramatic soundtrack add to the spooky gothic atmosphere of this classic slice of sex-fuelled gore from the Hammer House of Horror. Ingrid Pitt plays Camilla, a beautiful blood-sucking lesbian vampire with milky white skin and a thirst for the blood of pretty young virgins. When she attacks Laura (Pippa Steel), the daughter of General von Spielsdorf (Peter Cushing), the general enlists the help of Baron Joachim von Hartog (Douglas Wilmer) to overcome the vampiress and bring an end to the terror and bloodshed.
