This book constitutes the jointly proceedings of the 3rd
International Conference on Intelligent Edge Processing in the IoT
Era, Edge-IoT 2022, and the 4th International Conference on Smart
Governance for Sustainable Smart Cities, SmartGov 2022. Both
conferences were held online due to COVID-19 pandemic in November
2022, held as virtual events, in November 16-18, 2022. The 12 full
papers were selected from 31 submissions. SmartGov 2022 was to
promote the development of secure and sustainable smart cities with
smart governance, while the theme of Edge-IoT 2022 was to address
the decentralization of contemporary processing paradigms, notably
Edge processing, focusing on the increasing demand for intelligent
processing at the edge of the network, which is paving the way to
the Intelligent IoT Era”. Both the EAI SmartGov 2022 and EAI
Edge-IoT 2022 conferences were co-located with EAI SmartCity360
international convention. The papers are organized in the following
topical sections: Edge-IoT Applications; IoT Architectures,
Forecasting and Adversarial Training; Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning for smart governance; and Smart Transportation.
The emergent Indignados movement in Spain is transforming Spanish
politics and society, heralding an end to the Transition since
Franco, and responding to multiple legitimation crises in Spain and
in Europe. This movement is rooted in the Stop Evictions campaign
led by Ada Colau in Barcelona following the bursting of the
subprime mortgage bubble in the wake of the 2008; as well as the
15-M Movement arising in May 2011 Puerta del Sol of Madrid,
symbolizing the Indignez-Vous outrage of a lost generation.

This edited volume introduces dynamic approaches to the study of
Southeast Asia's environmental diversity from different
disciplinary perspectives at the interface between the natural and
social sciences. It brings together research on the region's
environmental resource use and shared ecological challenges in the
context of present day globalization to offer insights for possible
future directions. The book introduces unique approaches to the
study of Southeast Asia's environmental changes and resource
management under the influence of intensifying economic change in
the region. It also examines the slow erosion of Southeast Asia's
rich environment and addresses serious issues such as the decrease
in biodiversity and tropical forests, and the degradation of peat
lands. At the same time, it discusses the social issues that are
tied to energy-dependent growth and have intensified over the last
two decades. It also analyzes the new roadmaps being created to
protect, conserve, and manage the environment. By investigating the
many ecological issues surrounding us, the volume brings to light
the constant struggles we face while trying to develop a more
inclusive and equitable approach to natural resources governance.
This volume is relevant for students, academics and researchers who
have an interest in the Southeast Asian environment and the way in
which we use and interact with it.

Your opponent plays a gambit against you. How dare they!? But how
can you punish them? Spanish Grandmaster Salgado has taken a close
look at a wide variety of 'Gambit Lines'. Many gambit lines, where
one or more pawns are sacrificed for the initiative, have to be
taken seriously, but Ivan has succeeded in finding many new ideas
and theoretical improvements. The result is the neutralisation or
refutation of most of these common and well known 'Gambits'. This
book is simply a must for anyone who wants to be fully prepared to
engage in battle against a 'Gambit Player'. If you are a gambit
player yourself, you need to read this to prepare yourself for new
challenges to your systems.
The peanut is an important crop grown on over 21 million hectares
worldwide. Although peanuts have had an adverse image due to their
content in saturated fatty acids, it is important to mention they
also are an excellent source of protein, vitamins, and minerals for
human nutrition. In addition, peanuts contain relevant bioactive
constituents that can provide a wide range of health benefits.
Unfortunately, peanuts are also one, if not, the most allergenic
vegetables and the most common food-related cause of IgE-mediated
allergic reactions, mainly in westernised countries. This book will
present an up-to-date overview regarding peanut composition,
physical characteristics and bioactive properties. The second part
will cover peanut and legume allergen characteristics, together
with their prevalence. In addition, the therapeutic strategies to
treat peanut allergy and the problem regarding the cross-reactivity
of peanut and other allergens will be discussed.
funcionlidad familiar. Se propone este modelo de evaluacion
colaborativa para la replicacion de casos."
"Infogest" (Improving Health Properties of Food by Sharing our
Knowledge on the Digestive Process) is an EU COST action/network in
the domain of Food and Agriculture that will last for 4 years from
April 4, 2011. Infogest aims at building an open international
network of institutes undertaking multidisciplinary basic research
on food digestion gathering scientists from different origins (food
scientists, gut physiologists, nutritionists...). The network
gathers 70 partners from academia, corresponding to a total of 29
countries. The three main scientific goals are: Identify the
beneficial food components released in the gut during digestion;
Support the effect of beneficial food components on human health;
Promote harmonization of currently used digestion models Infogest
meetings highlighted the need for a publication that would provide
researchers with an insight into the advantages and disadvantages
associated with the use of respective in vitro and ex vivo assays
to evaluate the effects of foods and food bioactives on health.
Such assays are particularly important in situations where a large
number of foods/bioactives need to be screened rapidly and in a
cost effective manner in order to ultimately identify lead
foods/bioactives that can be the subject of in vivo assays. The
book is an asset to researchers wishing to study the health
benefits of their foods and food bioactives of interest and
highlights which in vitro/ex vivo assays are of greatest relevance
to their goals, what sort of outputs/data can be generated and, as
noted above, highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the various
assays. It is also an important resource for undergraduate students
in the 'food and health' arena.
